After recently moving to Florida from Arizona, Linda and I had the misfortune of dealing with a General Contractor hired to build our home, near Panama City Beach. Nothing seemed to be going to plan, finally after several thousand dollars of materials went missing from the job, we contacted the loca...l police and were told it would be a civil matter and to contact an attorney. Mr Warren was extremely sympathetic and agreed to handle our case. After our initial consultation, he returned our calls and was very responsive to our Emails and kept us informed along the way. My initial visit with Mr. Warren and his firm was very positive. I was hesitant about going to an attorney and firm of which I had no prior knowledge. Mr. Warren was very knowledgeable and explained options concerning my legal matter in a very simple way. I was referred to Mr Philip Warren over an issue of damage to my property due to adjacent construction. After sending him an email I received a phone call very quickly and was able to have all my questions, and concerns addressed. He took the time to clearly communicate the various angles of each and... every issue I brought up, answering them in a level of detail that was not only informative but easy to understand. During the entire process he was patient, professional, and did not rush our conversation in any way. My experience with Mr Philip Warren exceeded my expectations. I contacted Mr. Warren after several months of trying to communicate and handle problems that arose from an homeowners insurance claim that was filed after our home was destroyed by a tornado as a result of tropical storm Lee. Sadly to say I am sure our story is not an isolate one. We were informed... by our insurance company 25 days after the claim was filed that we did not have wind coverage to cover the loss. Many expenses had been accrued during those first few weeks after the storm mainly due to the insurance companies procedures that we were required to follow. On the day the insurance company called me and informed me we were not covered for our loss, I asked why it had taken so long to find out we had no coverage and what would be done about all the expenses that had accumulated up until that point? I was told a matter of factly that it was an oversight on the companies part that they did not catch the mistake sooner, but from that day forward they would not be responsible. For months after that we struggled trying to handle and clean up the mess we were left with. The house was not salvageable and had to be demolished, this was an upsetting and expensive undertaking. Several months later we started to receive bills from the insurance company and the other companies they had hired to assist with the initial clean up. This created a tremendous amount of stress for my mother who had been through the loss of her home and belongings to now be facing debt that I did not feel she deserved. That is when I contacted Mr. Warren. Mr. Warren personally returned my call and made time to see me. He was so personable and easy to talk to. I think the most important thing I can say about him and will always remember is he really listened. He understood that above anything else my main objective was to remove the pressure and stress my elderly mother was under from this entire ordeal. I left his office after the first visit feeling relieved and assured that he was going to help us. I made it very clear that we were not looking to gain anything we were not entitled to and that was not the purpose for my retaining him. He knew exactly what I meant and I knew after meeting him the kind of man he was and what would be done would be the right thing for everyone involved. Within a few weeks after Mr. Warren corresponded with the insurance company the matter was resolved. When he contacted me to inform me of the outcome I asked about his fee and he informed me there wasn't one. When I asked what I could do to repay him for his service he responded "nothing it was my pleasure to help you and your mom". I only hope Mr. Warren knows just how much he did help me and my mom and that peace of mind is not something you can put a price on. I can see why Mr. Warren has been voted "Super Lawyer for 2012, I couldn't agree more. I also want to mention the kind and professional staff at the law office, especially Tracy who kept my records better than I did. I never called that Mr. Warren did not speak to me personally and had even called me at home in the evenings if needed , and I think that is a rare quality for any business man. I will absolutely recommend him to anyone seeking legal help and brag on what a great lawyer he is, but most importantly what a genuinely nice man he is.
