Wesley Garland Hatcher Jr.

Experienced criminal and family law attorney across the Florida Panhandle.  Wes Hatcher grew up in Mobile, Alabama where he lived until he left to attend the University of West Alabama in Livingston, Alabama.  He received his undergraduate degree in History and had the good fortune of meeting his wife Elana. 

Wes also received a Master’s Degree in History from the University of West Alabama prior to receiving his Juris Doctor degree from Mississippi College School of Law in Jackson, Mississippi.  While in law school, Wes clerked for multiple law firms and for the Hinds County Public Defender’s Office.  Wes was admitted to the Florida Bar in 2006 and took a job with the Public Defender’s Office for the Fourteenth Judicial Circuit under Herman Laramore in Bay County where he worked prior to joining the firm of Dowgul & Wilson in 2007. Wes worked as an associate representing clients in various criminal cases and family law matters.  Wes was named a partner in the firm in 2009. 

Wes left Dowgul and Hatcher in 2016 and joined the State Attorney's Office, prosecuting felony cases.  Wes has extensive experience in misdemeanor and felony cases, handling thousands of cases, including DUI, Domestic Violence, Drug related charges, Burglaries, Felony Assault and Battery, Traffic cases, and other assorted criminal cases.  Wes also worked for the Virga Law Firm in Panama City where he focused primarily on family law cases.
