Russell Kevin Ramey

After waiting 6 months to speak with a judge for temporary alimony. Russell Ramey , called me the evening of and canceled the appointment with judge . Not giving a reason other than , going out of town. There was a few more cancellations and then I just hired another attorney. He refused to return a...ny of my $ 5,000.00 to me . So , I asked, Russell if he would help me in assisting with my new attorney Rhonda Clyatt . He flatly refused .!!! Well, unfortunately for me I lost 10,000.00. And it took 6 years of my life To finalize my divorce of 12 years of marriage and two bad choices of attorney’s and no one to represent me . I got nothing . Oh I take that back . The courts awarded me , Broken down hot tub , trailer payments, $6800.00 , equalization payments . But to this day I haven’t received anything. Submitted my own notice of contempt order but it never got to the judge .

TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION. Never responds to emails, never returns calls, and hardly ever will respond to a text. His assistants either never relay him the messages I leave them or he just doesn't care to contact me back ever. The only reason I give him 2 stars is because he pulled through at the end an...d got me a decent deal...but he still probably could have done better.

I hired Mr. Ramey after carefully talking with him about how he would handle my case, (which was already in progress). I also discussed how I insisted this be handled quickly and communications was a must. He assured me his office would handle this well. He basically did nothing on my case, even when... the other side had done some things that were blatantly in violation of the law and State statutes. A little over a year later, after many, many calls and emails not being answered, promises of what he what he intended to complete, nothing was being done. Tried to get the Judge to schedule a conference to bring all sides together to find out where "we are" and when he found out that I was trying to do what he was supposed to do, he immediately tried to quit. If you are looking for an attorney who will act quickly, comply with Florida Bar Association mandates and keep you informed about your case, I would urge you to look elsewhere.

DO NOT HIRE him. Nobody ever returns your calls. He took my money lied to me about everything. Over a year into my case I finally got mediation made some what of an agreement only because he told me if I went to court to get custody of my children it would cost me another 20k to do so then he drop...ped me as a client with no reason when we had another mediation to go to in six months. When I asked why he was no longer my attorney or if he was going to represent me still in the mediation he agreed to in the previous one I never got a direct answer and nobody will return any of my questions. I also asked him for a detail print out of where the money I spent went to and am still waiting on that. Save your money and the headache find someone else.

I hired him in 2010 to be my lawyer through my divorce. I payed for his services after the initial consultation and it was the only time I talked to him directly until the day I had to see him in court to sign the paperwork. During the whole process I had to send him messages and get information thro...ugh his paralegal. 2 months ago (Aug 2015) I contacted his office in order to discuss some changes in my situation; I never received a call back. If you are thinking about hiring Mr Russel Ramey to be your lawyer, DO NOT HIRE HIM! He doesn't care about his clients!
