Adrian Middleton Bounced a check "on my behalf" to the DBPR after I fired him via text because he doesn't like to return calls

I hired Adrian and he's great on the phone but has not returned calls and when he does it's to prolong his cat and mouse game. Often saying I'll call you back and not a word, terrible communication and reliability. I have been registered with the Florida Bar in the past and worked with many attorneys.... In my personal opinion you want someone who will keep his or her promises about things they can control. Things happen but, in my case, not filing simple documents time and time again with disrespectful knowledge to a client is condescending. If you want disrespect from your attorney and very limited if any callbacks, roll the dice and call Adrian Middleton. In my case, I supplied documents and paid my invoices. I was even told my documents were in order, yet they haven't been filed with the DBPR, to date. It's my family's livelihood, not his! If you don't have the time or others are more important, don't take more cases than you can handle. I only hope my documents are handle delivered to the DBPR as promised for almost 2 weeks. Oh, yes part of his pitch is that he is close to the DBPR and that's one of the things that helps his clients. They can hand deliver the docs and save people from snail mail, get a verification receipt, and make sure the government employees can't say they lost your documents. Adrian's office is so close and I'm so far-far away from my prepared documents being delivered by hand. 1 Star is a gift. I emailed him for a PDF copy of my retainer that was signed online using DocuSign, my bad. I can only wonder how long that's going to take, if ever. Time will tell. I fired Middleton and paid to finish the application Adrian Middleton was to complete and file. He filed documents on the qualifier for my company with a check and I now have what looks like a bounced check connected to my account that I paid him for prior. Refer to Yelp Peter R review says he paid attorney Adrian the funds to pay on his behalf like me and when Adrian wrote a check to the DBPR it bounced. I just got a letter from the DBPR today 2026-03-20 and it said the same thing. When I filed it was with a credit card that was approved so his check looks like it bounced also. What a hack and his Google Business Profile as of today says Permanently Closed (Good News for the People of Florida) I found out yesterday that Adrian Middleton bounced a check "on my behalf" and a co-worker to the DBPR. It looks like this is not a "one-off" problem. I guess after 10 years he forgot about Ethics, Escrow Accounts, Commingling of Funds maybe? I can't say, maybe I'm wrong, but he did bounce 2 checks. Florida Bar Rules, particularly Rule 5-1.1 of the Rules Regulating The Florida Bar, mandate that attorneys must maintain separate trust accounts (also known as escrow accounts) for client funds that are not yet earned or are to be held in trust. When an attorney receives funds from a client, such as filing fees, they are typically required to deposit those funds into a trust account until the funds are used for their intended purpose or earned.

Unjustly arrested!

I cannot speak highly enough of Attorney Adrian Middleton and the exceptional team at Sword & Shield Law Firm. Mr. Middleton represented my daughter at a moments notice and achieved an amazing outcome by having all charges against her dismissed. By arguing the moving party had no probable cause. ... Not only did he skillfully navigate the complexities of the legal system, but he also showed genuine compassion and support for our family during a challenging time. What truly sets Attorney Middleton apart is his commitment beyond the courtroom. Even after the case was resolved, he continued to ensure that we had all the necessary resources and support we needed. His dedication to his clients goes beyond expectations. I highly recommend Attorney Adrian Middleton and the Sword & Shield Law Firm to anyone in need of exceptional legal representation. Their professionalism, expertise, and genuine care make them an outstanding choice for legal services.

Doesn't Return Calls.

Adrian Middleton sent me a letter 3 months ago on behalf of their client whose service I had used in the past. I have questions about the letter I received and have been calling and emailing for 3 months, but Adrain refuses to answer emails or return calls. Terrible service.

Good Lawyer

Adrian did what he said he would do for me. I was happy and he was prepared for my case and every time we were in court. I was impressed by his appearance and by the way he handled himself in court. The judge seemed to respond well to his requests and my case was resolved favorably. I would definite...ly recommend his services. I saw people in the court getting much worse outcomes with good attorneys so I think it has to do with your case facts for your case. I am happy with him.
