Would NEVER hire Adam Cowhey again.

I wasted thousands of dollars on Adam Cowhey. I fired him and hired new council immediately, the same day. If you're going through a divorce with children- I would stay away from Adam Cowhey.

Highly Recommend!!

Where do I start? I hired Adam based on the google reviews. I am not from Tallahassee but was specifically looking for someone based out of here. What really got me was the very quick response from Adam from the very first day I called the office. Amy, at the front desk was so nice and you could tell... they really cared. Adam returned my call pretty quickly and answered all of my questions (and there were a lot!) Being 4 hours away, I was able to talk with Adam and Amy both via phone or email at any time and ALWAYS received a response (and in a very timely manner). I started my divorce in May. Mediation took place end Sept and that was my first time meeting Adam in person. Meeting him for the first time walking into the courthouse, he made me feel 100% at ease with the way he approached me, spoke with me, and guided me through it all. He is very reasonably priced, a great person, and a fantastic divorce attorney! At the end of mediation, I made it a point to drive to his office JUST to meet Amy in person. THANK YOU BOTH for being there for me and making me feel like friends! I appreciate ALL the help! You guys rock!!

Excellent Divorce Lawyer

Adam and his team did a phenomenal job representing me during my divorce and made this agonizing process seemingly easy. They were very responsive to my emails and phone calls. Furthermore, I appreciated Adam’s extreme knowledge of the law as well as his high level of professionalism. I was impres...sed with his outward display of confidence, optimism and kindness especially when it came to making decisions regarding child custody and support. He clearly had my child’s best interest in mind throughout the entire process. I would highly recommend Adam to anyone looking to make this difficult life transition a little easier to handle. I hope this review can truly express my gratitude and appreciation for Adam and his team at Cowhey and Ward.

Adam Cowhey

Mr. Cowhey represented me in my uncontested divorce. I first met with Mr. Cowhey about a year ago and he engaged in a free consultation with me during which I thought the divorce would be contested and in which he quoted a retainer fee. It about a year for me to actually decide to move forward with... the divorce, and by then my former spouse had agreed to an uncontested divorce. At that time I met with Mr. Cowhey again to retain him. When I explained that it would be uncontested, Mr. Cowhey very ethically reduced the retainer fee. Knowing that I would not know the difference, Mr. Cowhey could easily have charged the original amount quoted. His professionalism and genuine concern for me and my family were exemplified in his act of reducing the retainer fee. Mr. Cowhey worked with my former spouse and I to draft an agreement, which took several revisions. Mr. Cowhey escorted me the my ex parte hearing and supported me the whole time. I feel he provided me excellent legal advice and compassionate service. I was so pleased with his professionalism that I have recommended him to another party in need of similar services. I would recommend Mr. Cowhey again to anyone who needs family law assistance.

I would give Adam Zero Stars if I could

This attorney turned out to be totally uncaring, and not apathetic. He did absolutely nothing for me as a client. Adam Cowhey took thousands of dollars from me for what was basically an uncontested divorce (no children). Hire this attorney if you want someone who will stir things up with the o...pposing attorney. Adam collaborated on a regular basis with my ex's attorney. Together they tried their best to drag the divorce into court. The situation went on and on for months until my ex and I finally conversed and figured out what the attorneys were doing. We were so angry at each other - we both believed that the other was filing motions against each other when in fact it was the attorneys playing their little attorney games. When we finally talked and I figured out what was happening, I finally confronted Adam and told him that he had better not file one more document without my approval. Hire Adam Cowhey if you want to pay for filing unnecessary motions. Hire Adam Cowhey if you want your divorce to drag on and on and be more painful than it already has to be. Hire this attorney if you want someone who won't listen to your case or try to help you. Hire Adam Cowhey if you want to pay additional thousands to mediators to do what Adam could have done himself. In the end, after spending thousands of dollars and months of needless stress and anxiety, my ex and I finalized our divorce with basically the exact agreement that we had decided on between ourselves in the beginning. It is terrifying for me to imagine what a disaster this divorce would have been were children involved. Do not hire this attorney, especially if you have children

"I endorse this lawyer. He has been a friend of mine since he was a kid, we worked together in Winter Haven, Florida, for years when he first graduated from law school. He is very smart, practical, and has excellent research, writing and court room skills. I have tried cases with him and watched how he takes pride in his work and deals fairly with his clients and opposing parties and counsel. Great guy and attorney, highly recommend."
