Thomas L Dickens III

Dickens was recommended by Maria Maddox to represent my case. This man did no research on my case, he did not communicate with me concerning my case. He DID NOT know hardly anything of my case. He was giving input of my as it went along. He never prepared me for my deposition, and he never helped me... in my deposition. I went through something really bad and he did not care to prove my case. All he wanted to do was settle!!! Dickens was In fact pulling against me and he seemed to be for the opposite party. He's a fast talker not wanting to hear what his clients have to say. He's very manipulative, and he gives you high hopes for a complete hard let down. He made decision pertaining to my case without my knowledge and when I tried to call to speak with him concerning his decision he made without my knowledge he would not answer my calls. I had questions pertaining to my case and he did not have answers to give to me. HE WAS AWFUL and I WIL NOT RECOMMENDED NO ONE TO HIM!!! He's a big disappointment and I can't understand why Marie Maddox continues to allow him to be on her team!!!!!!!!! This man has no heart nor conscience as to how he misrepresents people but one thing about it he can't keep doing people wrong because God will take care of him!!!!!!! PEOPLE DO NOT HAVE HIM AS YOUR LAWYER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! HE WILL NOT FIGHT FOR (YOUR RIGHTS)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We hired Thomas for a family law issue that he kept saying was a "slam dunk" (a blatant violation of court orders by the other party). Thomas talked a lot of smack talk before the hearing and seemed over-confident. He did not mention crucial details in motions and responses filed in the case and ke...pt saying we'd have time to tell the judge during the hearing. The day of the hearing, Thomas did absolutely nothing. Nothing. Crucial details of the case (like the other party threatening us) were left out completely. Thomas gladly took our money, but he gave us absolutely nothing for it. He acted like he wanted to be buddies with the other lawyer and acted like he was intimidated by the other party. He failed miserably in the preparations, filings, and the hearing. He refused to admit he did anything wrong and actually tried to talk to us enthusiastically after the dismal failure in court. He says "brother" a lot like it makes him cool or like we are good friends, but he was supposed to be our lawyer, not a buddy. He failed completely. I do not recommend him as a lawyer for anyone.

Thomas was recommended by a friend and was very persistent in convincing me to hire him, offering a monthly statement rather than a retainer fee. Being strapped for cash, I agreed. However, I paid him over a thousand dollars before I realized he wasn't qualified to represent me for family law. He s...ympathized with the other party and was never my advocate. Had I been easily swayed by others or not very bright, thinks could have gone badly for my family. He's very likeable and friendly. I wanted him to work out, because I had invested so much time, money and energy... luckily we parted ways and I learned of Linda Bailey.
