John O. Williams

John O. Williams, Jr. has practiced law in Tallahassee since 1981 and a member of both the Florida Bar and the United States Supreme Court. He is board certified in marital and family law, is a certified mediator, and a certified parent coordinator. He has served as an editor for the Florida Bar and continues to author articles. He currently serves as a mentor to less experienced family law attorneys in the Tallahassee Bar Association’s Project Thunder Dome.

He has held many community service positions, serving on the Board of Adjustment and Appeals; the Community Improvement Advisory Council; the board of Directors of the Downtown Business Association, and Tallahassee Strategy.  He was the city attorney for the City of Midway, Florida. He has extensive experience in all aspects of real estate matters, from the perspective of the government, the advocate, the lender, the contractor, and as an owner of real estate himself. He has many years of experience with real estate transactions, from development to zoning, construction litigation, title issues, financing, buying and selling. He owns small businesses in the community and is a licensed real estate broker. Prior to law school, Mr. Williams was a property manager and before that an industrial electrician. He has created a small charitable organization named after his father. 

He has a black belt in Tae Kwan Do, plays guitar and piano, and is studying Spanish.
