Hands down the best lawyer ever. I was recommended to her when my son’s distant dad opened the can of worms for 50/50 custody and when I was told she is a shark they weren’t kidding. I recently retained Summer to provide legal representation for a child support hearing. Without her help I would've been a basket case as she helped me understand my options, made recommendations on how to handle the situation at hand and kept me advised of next steps. Summer followed-up with me via ...email at non-traditional hours showing me that she was hard at work on my case. Where she really shined, however, was in the courtroom on the day of my hearing. Her demeanor and bearing in the courtroom stood in stark contrast to that of her opponent, who - by comparison - seemed unprepared and amateurish. The way she was able to make sure we addressed salient points in our own presentation of the facts and also her tough cross-examination of the opponent's witness (as well as my ex-wife herself) was impressive to watch. Summer Boyd was the 2nd attorney we hired to represent us in our efforts to adopt our two very young grandchildren after the loss of their parents. We live in another state and desperately needed assistance in navigating the lengthy process for DCF to request an ICPC home study before we could be co...nsidered as an adoption candidates. When we hired Ms. Boyd we had been traveling from middle TN to Jacksonville every two weeks so we could have weekend visits with our grandchildren in our hotel. We met Ms. Boyd in person during one of our weekends in Jacksonville. We were immediately impressed with Ms. Boyd's very genuine compassion and support as we worked together to put ourselves in the best possible position to be considered to take responsibility for our grandchildren. The ICPC home study that we had to complete included 6 weeks of classes in addition to all the required vetting. Ms. Boyd encouraged us and fought for us as if we were members of her own family. She was always available if we had questions. She also went over and beyond anything we could have expected from an attorney. Unfortunately, the entire ICPC process kept the children in foster care for close to two years and the decision was made in favor of their foster parents. But Ms. Boyd has become a friend for life and we continue to stay in touch. We would not hesitate to hire Ms. Boyd in the future if we need legal assistance. Summer is absolutely amazing in and out of the courtroom! No matter how much my ex lies in court the truth always comes out. You can’t lie about probation and get away with it.
