1st time I consulted/hired for prep help at last minute for divorce case. Don was not available to be at hearing, not hired as official attorney. He was able to review case and help instruct what I needed to do and I followed his instruction and I was able to get hearing continued. I consulted aga...in for last minute hearing I thought I would have different attorney on. Don is very clear in making no promises and explaining which way hearings could go. I have consulted many attorneys and most do not provide this feedback. His billing for first help was very transparent and clear to understand. The 2nd time he warned me the estimate would be higher due to very last minute. It was very transparent (higher) estimate. Again, other attorneys have not been transparent on costs and making it clear how they can possibly help or the strategy- which Don communicated clearly verbally & in writing. His mannerism the first time I spoke to him were quite sharp and off putting. 2nd time he seemed a bit calmer with the directness I expect an attorney to give. I do not have the full experience of his representation, but I would see him again if needed.

I hired this attorney to handle a wrongful death case and had used him before. I gave a 5-star review the first time because I'm honest about my reviews. I retract my 5-star review and give him a 1. I have spoken to many other attorneys experienced in the field and certainly would have handled this d...ifferently, not waiting until 2 months before the statute of limitations runs out to drop the case no less at Christmas time. He did not get the proper evidence or even try to answer the insurance company's response. Every attorney I've spoken to agree that there is no longer time to get the proper evidence to support the claim and file a proper complaint with the court before the statute of limitations runs out. I had been reassured by this firm they had everything they needed at the end to get dropped because this attorney did not want to pay a filing fee I could have waived. Do yourself a favor and stay away. He will sit on the case and will end with a poor result. In my opinion, he does not have the client's best interests in mind!
