Prior to becoming a trial lawyer, I was an officer in the United States Navy for many years. I continued that career in the Naval Reserves and retired as a Commander in 2003.
My legal career has given me broad experience in a variety of legal fields. I began work out of law school with one of Florida's largest and best known law firms. I then became an Assistant State Attorney prosecuting criminal defendants in County and Circuit Courts. While a prosecutor, I served as a Felony Division Chief and was a member of the Homicide Prosecution Team.
Since 1991, I have been involved exclusively in civil trial practice with an emphasis on personal injury, medical malpractice, nursing home neglect/abuse, and brain injury cases. I have achieved numerous million dollar and multi-million dollar awards and settlements for my clients. For further information on case results, please visit our website at .

Mr. Ashton's excellent insight, knowledge and experience prompted him to accept and represent our case where others saw no merit. His scholarly research and initiative led to a settlement, much beyond our expectations. He always kept us informed of the status and progress of our lawsuit. Additiona...

Mr. Ashton represented us in a very difficult case that just settled. He was so kind and helpful throughout the course of the lawsuit and always kept us advised about what was going on. We are very happy with the result in our case and would recommend him to anyone needing legal assistance.

Firm that took my case had warned me not to waste my time speaking with Frank Ashton and wish I had listened.
I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations. Sometimes different law firms come to different conclusions on whether a case has merit which is why I always advise potential clients to get a second opinion even if we turn the case down. We have taken many cases which were previously rejected by another law firm and I am sure other firms have accepted cases we rejected. Yours is the first negative review I have received in 30 years of practice. Again, I am sorry that we did not meet your expectations but we certainly wish you success with your legal case.

I only spoke with Attorney Ashton by phone and he seemed quite knowledgeable regarding malpractice and he was quite courteous. I have to call him back after I have met with my doctors again.

Mr Ashton handle my wife's personal injury case. My wife and I could not be happier with Franks efforts to settle our case in a swift and fair settlement. I don't think you find a better Lawyer in the State of Florida.
"Frank is an exceptional attorney. I would highly recommend him for any med mal or serious personal injury case in Jacksonville FL."
"I endorse this lawyer's work. Frank Ashton understands the law as it relates to medical issues as well as anyone I have ever met. He has an outstanding way of getting to the important facts quickly and developing the case employing his professionalism and persuasive style."
