Elder Law 20%

Elder law is new school, and holistic in both its focus, and its solution set. Elder law attorneys have to look well outside of that tool box for a solution for each client’s own special needs. The question asked by the elder law attorney is “what is the best possible solution, legal, practical, financial, insurance related, or otherwise, that best fits this client?”

Probate 20%

Probate is court supervised control of a decedent’s estate to determine what the decedent’s estate consists of, whether the decedent’s will and any other instructions are legally enforceable, and who is entitled to the estate. The two most common probate procedures in Florida are Summary Administration for older or smaller estates and Formal Administration for newer and larger estates.

Trusts 20%

One of the key tasks in planning for the financial future of your beneficiaries involves putting your thoughts into action. Because you will no longer able to express your wishes to loved ones, requests must be clear and concise in order for them to be followed after you are gone. You can maximize the possibility that requests for beneficiaries will be carried out by setting up a trust.

Wills and Living Wills 20%

A Will is a legal document recognized to be binding and controlling of the decedent’s property. Most people would be well advised to have at least some form of a current, legally enforceable Will in place. Your assets, family structure, needs, goals, budget, desire for privacy, potential for family conflict, tax exposure, and need for asset protection all need to be weighed to determine what the best estate plan design is for you.

"A complete Package"

Grady put together for my wife and I a complete package of documents including a will. living will. durable power of attorney, and health care surrogate designation. Also done was a preneed guardian and release of medical information. I thought the pre-prep interview was very thorough. The explana...tion of each document prepared was handled the same way and answered all of our questions. I really like that there is followup communication by newsletter, open house events and presentations to keep us aware of changes or needs that he sees that may need to be addressed. I would highly recommend him to anyone needing these services.

Great estate planning experience!

My wife and I utilized Mr. Williams for some estate planning. Mr. Williams assisted us with a Will, Living Will, Power of Attorney, and a Warranty Deed placing the real estate in both our names. From beginning to end the process was very thorough, professional, and educational. I say educational beca...use Mr. Williams took the time to explain to both my wife and I all the ramifications of our actions. Based on our experience with Mr. Williams and his staff, we know we selected the right attorney.

Estate planning, wills, trusts

Have worked with Grady Williams legal office for past 20 years. Most helpful and informative in setting up family wills, and estate planning. More recently setting up a trust for our family. Also helpful in keeping up with changes in state laws, to update needed changes in our will.

What determines Avvo Rating?
  • Experience & background Years licensed, work experience, education
  • Legal community recognition Peer endorsements, associations, awards
  • Legal thought leadership Publications, speaking engagements
  • Discipline Disciplinary information may not be comprehensive, or updated. We recommend that you always check a lawyer's disciplinary status with their respective state bar association before hiring them.
