I initially hired Mr. Cork approximately 25 years ago to represent myself - and my children - in a divorce case. He diligently worked to ensure that the best interest of my children was protected. Since that time, Mr. Cork has represented myself and other family members on numerous occasions with the same rigor- and much needed compassion as my family dealt with the loss of my late husband. Last week, as my adult daughter faced her own divorce, Mr. Cork once again demonstrated conscientious concern for my grandchildren as well as valuable knowledge and application of the law. With gratitude, I am pleased to ascribe this 5 star review of Mr Cork

I retained Mr Cork for a DUI charge. I initially paid for my ALS hearing and he in turn sent the paperwork late resulting in my license being suspended. Then he never filed any paperwork on my behalf with the courts other that to notify them that he was my attorney. Never made any calls my behalf to the district attorneys office. He delayed my case for an entire year demanding that I pay him in full before the final disposition of my case. Once I payed him in full he had my case put on a trial calendar just to have accept reckless driving. In this case I went before the judge and requested that I plead nolo contendre instead of guilty. My lawyer told me I couldn't plead this and it was against the law. However once I asked the judge he said that He would allow it. Based on my own experience with this lawyer I would not recommend that anyone hire for what so ever reason. He will not work on your behalf in your best interest and seems to accept anything the district attorney gives in order to make a profit.

My brother and I hired this lawyer to represent us is a estate matter due to having to find a lawyer in the state my father passed. We both are not residents in Ga. He never returns calls, we never knew what was going on. He never filed anything with the courts. The only thing he was worried about was the Wrongful Death suit. I finally spoke to him after 1 1/2 years later for the first time today and all he wanted to do was yell and tell me he had documentation that we spoke numerous times on the phone. Really???? First time was today!!!! I fired him at the end of January by certified letter and he is still trying to get money from lawsuit. He didn't show up to court in Dec 2014 and represent. So I sent a certified letter at the end of January. The lawyer for my dads wrongful death suit called me after the judge noticed he didn't show. I have been talking to that lawyer until 3 wks ago when Patrick Cork (after being fired) contacted them and now they won't talk to me......This has been trying.....

I paid Mr. Cork to represent me in a child support case. The day of court Mr. Cork failed to appear. The Judge asked me where my legal representation was and I told the Judge I had no idea. The Judge asked me if I hired Mr. Cork and I provided two money orders to the Judge for $500 each. The Judge issued a bench warrant for Mr. Corks arrest for failure to Appear/Represent. When Mr. Cork finally arrived the Judge scolded him for this "reoccurring problem" in his and his Dad's Law Firm. The Judge asked Mr. Cork for an adequate response for his inability to appear on time and Mr. Cork stated he was unaware that he was my legal representation... he thought it was his Dad. Oddly enough he wasn't unaware how to cash a money order! The Judge asked me if I wanted Mr. Cork to further represent me and I stated no your Honor. The Judge asked me, I understand you are firing your legal representation and I stated, yes your Honor. The Judge instructed Mr. Cork to refund my money and granted me a two week continuance. He instructed me to find competent legal counsel (his words) in-which I retained Randall Hicks (Former USAF/Area Defense Counsel) who was superb! Lastly he told me if I had any problems obtaining my fee I paid Cork and Cork to return to his chambers. I immediately went back to Cork and Corks office and waited two hours before I told them I am going back to talk to the Judge... at that time they paid me and told me they shouldn't have to because it was an honest miscommunication as to who was representing me. THANK GOD NEITHER OF THEM DID!

Mr. Cork was hired to represent me on a probation violation. I found out that I did not need a lawyer in the end. He never returned my calls. He told untruths to my wife about helping me after I was obtained by the law enforcement. When my wife confronted him about the facts, he cursed her out and threatened her and to make it hard on me. He took my money and never helped me at all. All he did was insult my wife. He called all of his clients a low life, which means that he thought that I was a low life as well. Please pray and ask God before thinking of hiring him. It is in your best interest to avoid him.

This was the only lawyer I could afford for my DUI case. He was constantly late for court and off-topic in our discussions of my case. He wanted me to plead guilty at my administrative license suspension hearing, only to renig in criminal court- that sounded very fishy to me and I refused. The video evidence for my case was ready months before he got it, he seemed to be unaware that a separate payment must be made for the video evidence. His manner with other clients was deplorable, he barely recognized clients he had in court and had no warmth about him at all. Other client's lawyers were first names and handshakes-Mr. Cork was not.
He exhibited little knowledge of DUI law, and was painfully confused at the DDS hearing. The majority of his questions were out of the "scope" of the hearing and were useless. He ended up convincing me to plea guilty to DUI as he was incapable of procuring defense strategies. All in all, a massive waste of 1,000 dollars. He constantly bashed other lawyers, but showed little bravado himself. Avoid at all costs.
