Born in Savannah, J.D. graduated from Clemson University (cum laude) in 2004 with a degree in Economics and Accounting. He went on to receive a Juris Doctorate from the University of South Carolina School Of Law (top 1/3 of class) in 2007.
An experienced trial lawyer, J.D. has been a prosecutor in both South Carolina and Georgia. First, he served as an Assistant Solicitor in SC’s 16th Judicial District. Most recently, he was an Assistant District Attorney for Chatham County, Georgia.
While serving in these highly prestigious positions, J.D. was one of two special attorneys assigned to work only the most serious drugs cases, asset forfeitures, and wiretaps for the Chatham County Narcotics Team (CNT). In South Carolina, J.D. was selected as the senior felony drug prosecutor for the York County Drug Enforcement Unit (DEU).
