Douglas Herman has been litigating cases for over 24 years. He began his legal career practicing in Harrisburg and Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, before relocating to Savannah, Georgia in 2007. Mr. Herman formerly was a partner at a Savannah law firm, where he focused his practice on general insurance defense litigation (including personal injury matters), professional liability defense litigation, commercial litigation, real estate matters, and banking and creditors' rights matters.
Since 2018, however, Douglas Herman has been representing injured persons as an Attorney in his role as Litigation Director and Chief Legal Officer of The Hostilo Law Firm, based out of Savannah, Georgia. Mr. Herman and his team have recovered over $100 million for their clients through hard work and client-centered solutions to cases.
Before entering law school, Mr. Herman worked as a legislative staffer, both in Washington, D.C. and Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, and as a legislative liaison for a former Governor of Pennsylvania. Mr. Herman is a former member of the Professional Liability Underwriting Society, a former General Counsel to, the Savannah Area Board of Realtors, and an Instructor of Law at the Armstrong Atlantic State University. He is also active in the Savannah Area Chamber of Commerce. Mr. Herman is also a graduate of Leadership Savannah.
