Nancy DeVetter helps Georgia families when someone dies, and before that day comes. She founded DeVetter Law in Savannah in 2020 after settling her own father's estate, which required probate in three states. Before that, she spent more than a decade as a legal aid attorney in Atlanta and Savannah, where she led the Georgia Legal Services Program's Re-Entry and Record Restriction Project. Today she handles probate and estate administration, guardianship and conservatorship, will and trust disputes, and estate planning. She serves as a court-appointed guardian ad litem and sits as a judge by appointment in Chatham County Probate Court. Nancy received Step Up Savannah's Teinique Gadson Advocacy Award (2016) and the Robbie Robinson Award (2023). She is a member of the Savannah Bar Association and serves on the board of Goodwill of the Coastal Empire.
