I graduated Valdosta State University with a Bachelor of Business Administration in 2005. After receiving degree I began a career in management in different industries including, Walgreen’s, American General, and various Restaurants. In 2010, I decided to return to school, attending Florida Coastal School of Law, and Mercer Law School.
While in Law School, I served as a Teaching Assistant for his Contract, becoming well versed in the both the Uniform Commercial Code as well as State Contract Law. In his last year of school, I interned with the District Attorney’s office, practicing under the Georgia Third (3rd) Year Practice Act, where he honed his skills litigating felony, and misdemeanor trials, and defended the State in cases that were appealed to the Georgia Court of Appeals. Through hard work and determination, I graduated Law School early, obtaining his Jurist Doctor in 2012, and becoming licensed with the Georgia Bar in 2013.
Since graduation Mr. Ricks began his legal career working for a medical billing company, as the Chief Compliance Officer, becoming well versed in billing practices of medical providers as well as the Affordable Care Act and HIPAA. Mr. Ricks brings with him his experiences from the various industries he managed before becoming an attorney as well as his back ground in litigation and heath care. These experiences allow Mr. Ricks to become a strong advocate for his clients and fight for their rights both in and out of the courtroom.
Since becoming a licensed attoreny, I have handled legal matters recovering millions of dollars including settlements of trial verdicts for our clients injured in accidents. These include, but are not limited to, car accidents, truck accidents, wrongful death, defective products, and workers compensation cases for people injured on the job.
