also known as Blaine Norris
As a personal injury trial lawyer with over 20 years experience, I have come to see the Constitution's 7th Amendment right to TRIAL BY JURY as the best protection of justice, fairness, and accountability. Despite some flaws, our American jury system is the best in the world. By way of background, I've lived in Georgia my whole life, including Savannah, Marietta, Carrollton, Atlanta, and, for the last 20 years, we've called Athens home. I graduated with high honors in history and then law from the University of Georgia and started my legal career at a large firm in Atlanta before returning to Athens to prosecute criminal cases. After about two years of criminal jury trials, I returned to private trial practice in Athens, handling all types of trial matters, including criminal, business, and personal injury cases. That provided a wide breadth of experience and perspective. For many years now, I have focused almost exclusively on personal injury and wrongful death matters throughout the State of Georgia. My family and I are members of Redeemer Presbyterian Church, and when I am not working, I enjoy being on a boat at the lake with my family or riding a mountain bike or sitting down with a good book. I'm happy to talk to potential clients about their claims for injury or the wrongful death of a loved one, whether that person or family ultimately decides to hire me or not. I firmly believe that folks should meet with an attorney in person before making the important decision of hiring an attorney. Feel free to call or send an email to set up an appoitment to meet! Once hired, my personal injury team will aggressively advocate for you start to finish.

Strongly recommend. Straight talk, genuine advice.
Came to Blaine on two separate recommendations, one from a judge and one from an attorney. Going in, I felt my case was going to be nothing more than a settlement negotiation rather than an actual defense. Through his careful attention to the details of the case, Blaine was actually able to structu...

Litigator
When our company (and myself) was sued in Federal Court, and we had to respond to a fast tracked hearing for injunctive relief, Blaine took on our case, worked diligently and faithfully under significant time pressure, (preparing for the hearing often late at night) and then did an outstanding job...
"Blaine is an extremely talented attorney. He's also just a genuinely great guy who I always enjoy being around. I would recommend Blaine without hesitation to any of my friends or family members in need of a lawyer."
"Mr. Norris is a well respected attorney in the community. He approachable and not afraid to push a case to its limit. I endorse this attorney."
"There are few lawyers who have the knack to quickly identify the legal issues involved in a case and then spend the necessary time to fully investigate and litigate those issues. Having known Blaine for over 16 years, I can unequivocally state that Blaine is one of those lawyers. He is a tenacious litigator and a tremendous advocate for his clients. I, without hesitation, highly recommend Blaine to any person who is in need of an experienced, effective trial lawyer."
"Blaine is the litigator's litigator. Quick wit, brilliant style, careful and pointed analysis - both in and out of the courtroom. He has assisted numerous of my clients with complex litigation or threatened litigation on all sorts of business matters, and every time he does so masterfully. I confidently give him the highest recommendation. His insights and skills are superlative. Once, I watched him cross-examine for four hours the president of a company that had sued my client. Blaine's savvy understanding of the facts and the issues at play resulted in the witness contradicting his own writing as it was displayed in front of the entire courtroom. We won that case. I had a client tell me once that they wanted to hire Blaine, immediately, just to keep him on their good side. Absolutely highest recommendation."
"I had an opportunity to work with Blaine on a case last year. He is an excellent litigator/lawyer - smart, creative, hard working and responsive - everything you are looking for a in a lawyer. I endorse him accordingly."
