I hired Sarah for her legal services after my videographer was in breech of contract. After explaining the situation, she drafted a very well written letter stating what laws were being broken. She demanded that the contract be fulfilled and I be reimbursed. After months of trying to reach a resoluti...on on my own, she had my video and money in a a few days! Sarah is a pleasure to work with, she keeps lines of communication open, and guides you. I would recommend her to anyone needing any legal help!

I was blindsided with a nightmare situation and I had no idea what to do or where to turn. I decided to call the firm after a positive experience with another attorney there a few years earlier to see if they did family law. My call was then returned by a fallen angel. From the first conversation Sa...rah listened to my side and I could tell she would go to war for me. She has every quality you want not just in a lawyer but a person and it's only amplified when she is doing her job. There was some urgency to my case. Literally the day we spoke she was exchanging texts with me that night. She was already working on my case and had drafted a first draft of our motion while also having the patience to be there for my questions and concerns. And I had a lot. She genuinely made me feel like my case and fighting for me was the most important thing she had going on. It was the hardest situation I've ever faced, staring at a final judgement saying I had zero rights with the 2 little guys that mean the most in this world. And having to get on a plane to go to work in less than a week. Sarah had a motion filed immediately and a hearing within a week (which seems kind of unheard of). As an imperfect being and not knowing exactly what I was up against I sort of bombarded her with every bad thing I have ever done and sensitive details of a marriage that didn't work. I never felt looked down on, I never felt I couldn't talk to her about something. She calmly told me how we would handle it and built her defense. I can't stress enough how important that is. Fortunately I've never been in any family law situation before but I can imagine it all can get kind of ugly just because of the circumstances. It feels like there is nothing more sacred and important than becoming a parent to someone. To not be judged, to have someone that understands, it means the world. Of course there is a happy ending too. I went from 8 hours supervised visitation a month to joint custody and all the time I asked for with my kids. Sarah was nimble enough to spot an opening in the hearing and brought it all together perfectly when I didn't even think a settlement and ammendment was a possibility. Had it been left to the judge I have no doubt we would have won but there would have been more hearings, more back and forth, more ugliness. But it ended with Sarah, my ex wife and I sitting at a table agreeing to the terms I was seeking and leaving it in a place where we can actually co-parent when the dust settles. I don't know what else to say. I'm not a person who writes reviews but I feel strongly about the person and lawyer Sarah is. Sarah Illg is a light in a dark place. She's trustworthy, patient, tenacious, passionate and strong. I will forever be grateful to her for it.

I picked Sarah at first due to location and reviews I had read. Let me just say that I am glad I did! Sarah has been a blessing. Going through a divorce is not easy but she was a great listener, compassionate, knowledgeable, thoughtful and caring. Not only is she a great lawyer but she is also a gre...at person.
