Attorney Stafford appeared to use her familiarity with the presiding judge to her client's advantage in ways that did not feel consistent with the principles of justice or impartiality. This created an environment where the opposing party-who had not been accused of any abuse, neglect, or unfitness-w...as denied meaningful access to their child. There was no clear or convincing evidence presented that would justify such a severe limitation, yet it was allowed to stand. This is deeply troubling in light of well-established legal precedent protecting parental rights under the 14th Amendment of the U.S. Constitution (Troxel v. Granville, 530 U.S. 57 (2000)). In my view, Stafford's conduct demonstrated a lack of regard for these constitutional rights and contributed to a result that appeared less about the best interests of the child and more about money.
