Stephanie Frasure Brown

Stephanie F. Brown (formerly Stephanie F. Goff) was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 1988.  She graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Arts in history from West Virginia University in 1985, where she was a member of Phi Beta Kappa.  In 1988, Ms. Brown received her law degree from the West Virginia University College of Law where she was on the Moot Court Board and the West Virginia Law Review.  In addition to the State Bar of Georgia, Ms. Brown is admitted to practice in West Virginia.

Currently, Ms. Brown if Of Counsel with the law firm of Drew Eckl & Farnham in Atlanta, Georgia.

 Ms. Brown began her practice in insurance defense litigation at the Atlanta, Georgia law firm of Long, Weinberg, Ansley & Wheeler.  Thereafter, Ms. Brown practiced with the firm of Dennis, Corry & Porter, specializing in insurance coverage and personal injury defense litigation, with an emphasis on motor carrier defense.

In 2003, Ms. Brown began an elder law practice as a solo practitioner.  That practice was  focused on providing legal services to seniors and individuals with special needs, including the creation of special needs trusts for seniors, their family members and individuals with disabilities.

 In 2006, Ms. Brown returned to civil litigation when she joined the law firm of Gorby, Peters & Associates where she represented plaintiffs in personal injury litigation, including tractor-trailer and automobile collisions, premises liability, nursing home litigation, and medical malpractice.

Ms. Brown has been appointed as a guardian ad litem in special needs trust matters.  She has volunteered as an attorney on the Georgia Senior Legal Hotline, providing legal advice and assistance pro bono to seniors and their families.  Ms. Brown served on the Board of Directors for Senior Services North Fulton, Inc., a nonprofit agency providing services to seniors where she served as the Chairperson of the Resource Development Committee on the Board.
