Traci Weiss is a Partner with Warner Bates (formerly Warner, Mayoue, Bates & McGough), and has been a member of the firm since 2005. She is AV-rated, and for more than a decade, her practice has been exclusively dedicated to family law and domestic relations litigation, including, but not limited to, divorces, custody and child support disputes, paternity and legitimation actions, adoptions, prenuptial and postnuptial agreements, modifications, and enforcement of court orders. She also serves as a Guardian ad Litem, working to protect the bests interests of children, and is listed as a Certified Guardian ad Litem for the Cobb County Superior Court Guardian ad Litem Program. She is an experienced trial attorney who is prepared to passionately fight for what is right, but also recognizes the value and importance of negotation and creative problem solving in these sensitive matters. For Traci, practicing family law is all about the people. It is a unique opportunity to advocate for people while helping them through some of the most challenging situations and issues in their lives with dignity and compassion, showing them how their interests and the interests of their children can be protected and advanced while keeping their integrity intact. She practices primarily in the following counties: Fulton, Cobb, Gwinnett, DeKalb, Cherokee, Forsyth, Henry and Douglas, as well as various counties outside of the main metropolitan Atlanta area.
Traci is a graduate of Binghamton University (B.A. in political science and history, 1997), and of Emory University School of Law (J.D., 2000) where she was a member of the Moot Court Society, the Order of Advocates, the Honor Court and the Honor Court of Appeals.
Traci is also an active member of the Charles Longstreet Weltner Family Law American Inn of Court, the State Bar of Georgia and the general and family law sections of the Atlanta, Cobb County [Vice President (2019-present), Secretary (2018-2019], and DeKalb County Bar Associations. In addition, she has contributed to revisions and updates to Georgia Domestic Relations - Forms and Practices, a book including guides to the practice of family law in Georgia and related forms highly regarded by lawyers throughout the state (2012-2018). She served as a judge for the State Bar of Georgia YLD William W. Daniel National Invitational Mock Trial Tournament each year from 2004 through 2009, and was the Sponsorship Chair for The Supreme Cork fundraising event hosted by the YLD Family Law Committee of the State Bar of Georgia, as well as the Treasurer for that Committee (2007-2009). She is also an active member of her community and has served on the Board of Directors of her homeowners' association.
