I grew up in Sandy Springs and now reside in Brookhaven with my wife, Mary and our children, Joe and Isabelle.  I graduated from UGA (GO DOGS!) in 1987 and from Georgia State University College of Law in 1991.  During law school I clerked at the Georgia Supreme Court for Justice Richard Bell and worked at a medical malpractice law firm for 2 years.  

 

For the last 20 years, my practice has focused on personal injury cases.  My law firm, STONE LAW GROUP, has continued that tradition focusing on plaintiffs' personal injury and wrongful dealth matters including automobile accidents, trucking accidents, medical malpractice, product liability and premises liability.  

 

I am AV Peer Rated from LexisNexis Martindale-Hubbell and am honored to be part of Georgia SuperLawyers since 2009 and Best Lawyers since 2010.  I am also certified by the American Board of Professional Liability Lawyers as a medical malpractice lawyer.

Highly Recommended!
I reached out to Mike Regas after an automobile accident I had been involved in. I’m an anxious person, especially with things like this, and had never dealt with anything like this before and I cannot express enough how happy I was with the service Mike provided. He kept me in the loop throughout the whole process and answered all of my questions really quickly, even the really silly ones. Because of his help with the legal side of the accident I was able to focus more on my health side of things and take care of myself. These guys were great. I went through three different lawyers before finding this firm and working with James. The experience was great. I was dealing with a rather off the wall case not many people were wanting to touch or really knowing how to handle it. After contacting StoneLaw I never had to deal with anything but phone calls from James. If there was a problem it was handled within the week. Mike is Absolutely the guy you need if you need representation for an accident or malpractice.
Yes - I went to law school with Mike and I know him to be kind, considerate and hard-working. However, this review is based on his representation of myself after I was hit by a car, no fault of my own and the driver had a low limit policy with a very, very difficult insurance company. Mike was deligent in his pursuit of compensation for my medical bills and lost work time. He was also very patient when I needed his interest and concern because I was worried that the insurance company would not pay my bills. He assured me that all would be taken care of and he was 100% correct. I can't give him a higher recommendation.

Mike is an outstanding personal injury attorney who takes his job very seriously. Don't let his big smile fool you - while he is a really nice fellow, he is tough as nails and a great negotiator. If the other party will not negotiate, he is a strong litigator, and will represent you aggressively. As an attorney, I also refer cases to Mike.
