Casey Carter Doyle

I have been a practicing Attorney in Atlanta for almost four years. When I graduated from Law School, I had initially planned to go into the military. I was direct commissioned for Army JAG and Air Force JAG but was medically disqualified. As a result, I accepted a clerkship with Judge Adele Grubbs in the Superior Court of Cobb County, where I was exposed to all facets of the law. I researched all matters appearing before the Court (criminal, domestic, etc.), prepared bench briefs for Judge Grubbs on the issues, and drafted many of the Court's Orders.

After concluding my position with Judge Grubbs, I became a prosecutor in the Gwinnett County Solicitor's office for over two years. While there, I was the Lead Attorney for one of the Trial Divisions. I managed hundreds of cases and averaged more than one jury trial a month. I have also been trained extensively in DUI law through that position, by going through many of the training courses the Officers are required to complete and attending conferences given by some of the leading DUI experts in the country. I was even responsible for updating the DUI Trial Notebook used by prosecutors throughout the entire state of Georgia.

I began working with Shewmaker & Shewmaker in order to combine my prior experience (in criminal law and domestic law) with my desire to practice military law. Our firm specializes in military domestic law, in addition to criminal defense and civilian domestic law.
