Peter Frederick Schoenthaler

Peter F. Schoenthaler is the founder of the Schoenthaler Law Group. Mr. Schoenthaler is a business lawyer with a broad based background in many areas of the law. He brings substantial experience in corporate and transactional law and significant, varied experience in both federal and state litigation matters.

Mr. Schoenthaler started his career in consulting for the accounting and business consulting firm Arthur Andersen. He subsequently worked for an Atlanta based general practice firm where he gained experience in broad and diverse areas of the law before joining an intellectual property and corporate boutique firm where he developed expertise in those specialized practice areas.

On the litigation side, Mr. Schoenthaler is accomplished in many areas of law and has successfully represented clients in hundreds of cases, including business and complex litigation, patent, copyright, trademark, trade secret claims and business litigation.

Mr. Schoenthaler is permanently admitted to the U.S. Courts of Appeals for the Eleventh and Tenth Circuits. In addition to handling cases across the United States, he is permanently admitted in the United States District Courts for the Northern District of Georgia, Eastern District of Texas, District of Colorado, District of Connecticut, and the Eastern District of Michigan.

On the corporate side, Mr. Schoenthaler’s areas of expertise include corporate and business transactions, mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financing transactions, corporate and securities law and compliance, intellectual property and technology transactions and counseling relating to business transactions (including new business formation, strategic alliances, joint ventures, distribution agreements, secured transactions and general commercial/UCC matters). His experience spans a variety of business sizes and types, and with companies doing business in a wide range of industries, including software and technology, information technology, venture capital, portfolio company management, and private equity.
