Biography
Since 1988 my law practice has been focused primarily in the area of Georgia workers' compensation law. During my first five years of practice, I worked as an associate with a top insurance defense law firm in mid-town Atlanta. During my time as an insurance defense lawyer I had the opportunity to try hundreds of cases in cities and towns throughout Georgia and I learned a great deal about this fascinating area of the law.
I also had an opportunity to observe other lawyers try cases and when I decided to set out on my own in the early 1990's I decided to use my experience and training to represent injured workers. Since 1993 I have represented injured employees exclusively.
I offer my clients personalized and responsive service. I employ one paralegal but otherwise I am involved in every aspect of my client's case. I am especially concerned about helping my clients get appropriate medical care. I know from my days as an insurance defense lawyer that "company doctors" often do not have the qualifications or motivation to provide quality medical care and I offer to my clients the benefit of my knowledge about dozens of medical specialists throughout Georgia to help them get the quality care they deserve.
