Katherine M. Collins

Katherine Collins is an associate attorney at Clark Lowery & Lumpkin, where she represents clients across a broad range of family law matters — from divorce and custody to adoption, modifications, and beyond. She is also a certified Guardian ad Litem, assisting courts in investigating disputed custody matters and making recommendations centered on the best interests of the children involved.

Katherine’s roots in family law run deeper than most. Before earning her J.D., she spent years working as a family law paralegal, giving her a ground-level understanding of how these cases actually move — and what clients need to feel supported and informed at every step. That hands-on foundation shapes the way she practices today: prepared, attentive, and genuinely invested in the people she represents.

She graduated magna cum laude and Salutatorian from Atlanta’s John Marshall Law School, where she earned multiple CALI Awards for achieving the highest grade in various courses, received the Dean’s Fellowship Scholarship, and was recognized by her classmates as Most Hardworking and Most Prepared for Class. She was also a proud member of Law Journal, having received an invitation based on her academic performance.

As a stepmother and adoptive mother herself, Katherine understands — not just professionally, but personally — what it means for families to navigate major transitions.
