Competent. Smart. Reassuring. Call him!

I chose Gary to handle my divorce; the opposing lawyer represented the Petitioner, Gary represented me as the Respondent. I hired Gary because he impressed me as being unusually knowledgeable about the process details--not just the big picture--and more important, he is calm. As a former family court... judge and now an mediator and family law attorney, I was confident he'd already experienced whatever my case would bring. I was right as he knew what to watch out for and recognized immediately what was missing from the opposing lawyer's documents. Between July and September, and prior to hiring Gary, I'd reviewed four different iterations of opposing counsel's error-filled documents. Given the dozens of repeated grammar, spelling, and punctuation errors, not to mention content errors referencing property not owned, proposed visitation schedules for 2014, and directions for filing 2016 tax returns (even though it was 2018!), I was very worried about what legal issues opposing counsel had wrong as well. Gary thoroughly reviewed the 5th version of drafts and immediately noticed opposing counsel's failure to draft the required Child Support Addendum; the incorrect format for the Settlement Agreement, multiple unnecessary details in the Parenting Plan; and the Plaintiff's improperly completed Child Support Worksheets. Gary patientily explained each step of the process so I'd know what to expect and sadly had to similarly "instruct", or perhaps remind, opposing counsel as well. Gary caught a critical error in the opposing counsel's Request for Judgement on Pleadings that contradicted all the documents already filed and would've delayed the ruling. Gary's experience and intellect was exactly what I needed to safeguard myself from the opposing counsel's continuous inattention to detail and seemingly willingness to file false documents as demonstrated by his failure to correct errors from version to version. This was an uncontested divorce (no court time) so while I cannot speak to Gary's courtroom abilities, I'm certain based on the time and thoroughness he did provide, he would have delivered exactly what was needed during a hearing. I've already asked Gary if I may refer him if asked and am very grateful to the person who referred me to him!

The. Best.

Divorce is the worst, and when life seemed its darkest, Gary Alembik was an absolute light. Gary made me feel very relaxed and informed always; patiently and expertly explaining everything during the difficult process. Many times, I felt he went completely above and beyond; whether it was an early ...morning phone call or an email just to check in. I am eternally grateful for his time and service. I highly recommend Gary to anyone without reservation.

"I have had the pleasure of working with Mr. Alembik on several matters over the years. As you would expect, based upon his experience, he is an outstanding attorney that understands both the legal and personal nature of the cases he handles. What sets him apart from other attorneys, from my perspective, is his true love and passion for the law. I don't think there has ever been a time that I saw him that he did not enlighten me regarding a new case that came out or a new twist being made on an old argument. He truely loves his profession in a way that is refreshing to see. I strongly endorse his work without any reservation."
