Eldridge Suggs IV

After recently being charged with a DUI, a friend of mine recommended Attorney Suggs as my lawyer. I am so thankful that I listened to his recommendation. I met with Attorney Suggs and told him what happened. For the first time since my arrest, I finally felt a peace of mind after our meeting. He... was very familiar with county I was arrested in and the mistakes made by the officers. It truly pays to have an attorney who knows what he is doing. Attorney Suggs was able to discredit some procedures about my arrest. I highly recommend this attorney for any legal representation his firm provides. After I told my friend what happened at court, he wasn't surprised. He just said, that is exactly why I recommended you to Attorney Suggs.

I was a client of Mr Suggs approximately three and a half years ago. He charged me an up-front flat fee rather than an hourly fee, which was a red flag. (I say a red flag because another attorney I dealt with asked for a retainer fee to create an escrow account, and he charged me an hourly rate and p...aid himself from that escrow account, documenting the hours he spent on the case. When the escrow account funds were exhausted, it was only then that this particular attorney billed me for any additional amount. ) Another attorney said that it's better not to pay a flat fee to an attorney as this can cause the attorney to lose incentive to pursue the case (because he's already received full payment). Additionally, Mr Suggs didn't stay in touch with me to let me know how my case was progressing. I had to initiate every contact. This too was different from my prior experience with attorneys, each of whom sent me regular letters to keep me updated on my case. Also, Mr Suggs was very unresponsive to my contacts. He didn't return any of my calls, and he didn't respond to any emails, faxes, or letters.

I had the same experience with Suggs. He took money upfront with me. He also took evidence that I provided to him for the case and never returend. He never reported any steps in the case. He avoided my calls, had his secretary screening my calls. I think he is very unprofessional and my dealings w...ere horrific.

There are a lot of attorneys out there and it can get confusing trying to find one who will represent you well. Attorney Suggs did an exceptional job with my case. I was charged with a crime that I could have easily spent time behind prison cells. He was well prepared and his passion for law and f...airness worked wonders on my behalf. I would highly recommend him for those who just don't know who to call. I was also surprised three weeks after my case was over, he called me just to see how I was doing. Now that was very admirable!!
