Our small family business had secured a written multi-million dollar agreement to perform work for the US headquarters of a very large European company. We invested over $100,000 just ramping up to do the job and were then informed that the contract had not been shared with the European leadership prior to signing. The US officer who signed our contract left the company and we were told it was an unfortunate situation but the job was cancelled. Cary advised us that we had the right to sue for our expenses, plus liquidated damages potentially up to the full amount of the contract. However, our work is highly confidential and based on trust relationships with our clients. Also, we were concerned that taking legal action against a brand name mega-company could damage our other work and future reputation, and that a David vs. Goliath legal battle might even crush us. In less than a month, without filing a suit, Cary negotiated the return of 100% of our expenses, plus an amount to reimburse our time investment, along with a confidentiality agreement. This was a great outcome and we might have had difficulty surviving without Cary's help. Cary is more than a highly competent attorney. He's a businessman who grasps the situation, clarifies the options, gives good counsel, and takes action fearlessly. I hope you never need an attorney. If you do, I would highly, highly recommend Cary Ichter.
