I was in an accident in June where a car hit me and then fled the scene. I came to Attorney Marcus A. Roberts because I felt like the insurance company was giving me the runaround and as soon as I did I started seeing immediate results with the insurance company. The doctors that I saw for the acci...dent were at Regional Marietta Medical Center and they were all amazing. It took a few weeks, but I started to feel a lot of improvement in my back and neck. The attorney and office staff kept me up to date with emails and calls. Now it is September and I have already reached a settlement. Attorney Roberts has called and let me know what all was going on with the offer and made sure that I was okay with the amount and now they have already finished my case up in less than 6 months! I hired Mr Roberts for a car accident in which I was injured and other driver at fault. Mr. Roberts was unprofessional and failed to communicate with me several times not returning my correspondence for months at a time on couple occasions. I was told by Mr Roberts that his law firm failed to return ...my correspondence because his paralegal was out taking her 2nd yr law exams. On another occasion Mr Roberts canceled a meeting with me 2 hrs before the meeting was to take place citing an office emergency and when i tried to reschedule the meeting 3 weeks later i was told that i now had to pay him to meet with him. Other times both he and his paralegal cited deaths in thier families as reasons for failures to communicate with me for several weeks. Mr Roberts also emailed me and stated that he told the opposing side insurance company quote and all parties involved that i was a "career plantiff" .After I told Mr Roberts in writing to stop all work on my case , Mr Roberts proceeded to negotiate and except an offer on my case and quote put all sides on notice about me the following day. Mr Roberts has now put a lien on my claim after i terminated him and has not lifted it despite 2 other attorneys reaching out to Mr Roberts and the insurance company to inform them that the lien is not valid and against the law.....truly a night mare and I posted this so if you're reading this it will not happen to you! I fell for Mr Roberts politeness and i did vet him here in GA.I checked nationwide after i started having problems and found out that the state of Texas had suspended Mr Roberts license at some point to practice in Texas which would have been a red flag..i have filed a complaint against this attorney with the state bar of Georgia to try and seek some justice and relief. Please don't let this happen to you!
