James Daniel Cole

Daniel Cole represents both plaintiffs and defendants in employment and business litigation. Daniel has worked in variety of roles since law school, allowing him to provide unique insight and advocacy on behalf of his clients. Daniel has clerked for both federal and state court judges, defended small to medium sized businesses in employment and business disputes at a southeastern defense firm, and represented large national corporate entities and executives in employment matters around the country while working for a large national law firm. Based on his diverse experience, Daniel is able to view cases from the perspective of both judges and opposing counsel to obtain the best results possible for his clients.

In his employment practice, Daniel has litigated a variety of matters involving wage and overtime issues, unlawful discrimination, retaliatory discharge, and restrictive covenants, including non-compete litigation. In addition to his litigation practice, Daniel has represented both companies and employees in employment contract negotiations, including the representation of high-level executives and physicians in contract negotiations and re-negotiations. Growing up in a blue collar, working class family, Daniel appreciates the struggle working people face in both good times and bad. Joining Parks, Chesin & Walbert gave Daniel the opportunity to fulfill his desire to help those individuals in their time of need.

In his business litigation practice, Daniel has represented a wide range of companies, large and small, in matters involving breach of contract, business divorces, enforcement of operating or partnership agreements, trade secret theft, and employment matters. Daniel understands the value and work it takes to build a business and endeavors to protect the interest of his business clients.
