Just Say No

I had a deeply disappointing experience with Mr. Yancey and this firm. Throughout my case, they switched my assigned attorney more than four times without explanation, causing confusion, delays, and a complete lack of continuity in my representation. Despite my repeated efforts to provide full det...ails, the attorneys failed to properly present all of my claims in my EEOC filing. As a result, critical parts of my case were left out, seriously damaging my ability to argue my full complaint. Their handling of my case demonstrated a clear lack of competence, diligence, and communication, and their actions (or lack thereof) have had serious consequences for my legal rights. I would strongly caution anyone considering this firm. Based on my experience, they do not prioritize their clients' best interests, and they failed to provide the level of professionalism and care that every client deserves.

Great Work! Reinstated After Removal

Mr. Yancey has an expert grasp of federal employment law and statutes, and advised me in each phase of the case. He carefully discussed his strategy with me and opened my eyes to considerations I had overlooked. He also advised me about my return to work, and I am adjusting well back at work. Mr. Yan...cey is a true professional and I highly recommend him.

Best Lawyer Ever - MSPB Case

I hired the Melville Johnson P.C. law firm in January 2015 to represent my Merit Systems Protection Board case against Department of the Army. Mr. George Johnson assigned Mr. Yancey to work on my case. Mr. Yancey is hands down the best of the best. All our correspondence was over the phone and throug...h e-mail. The communication and transparency was top notch. My questions were always answered thoroughly, the billing was crystal clear, and I understood every aspect of my case. During certain moments of the case I would get worried and stress out. I would call up Mr. Yancey, he would make me feel better, and lay out the strategy. Honesty, integrity, and professionalism are words that come to mind when I think of Mr. Yancey. I totally recommend Mr. Yancey and the law firm he works for, Melville Johnson P.C. Mr. Yancey helped me get a nice settlement in my favor. Mr. Yancey’s leadership, insight, and dedication helped me get justice against the people who violated my rights as a federal government employee. I am so lucky I found him.

Current Federal EEO Case for Disability Discrimination - Failure to Accommodate and Hostile Work Environment

I have always been a skeptic when it comes to attorneys (no offense). I can't talk about my case in any detail but I can tell you how amazing Shaun Yancey has been! He's VERY knowledgeable, intelligent, professional, and on top things! I am probably one of the most needy clients he has ever had to...o! I ask a billion questions at least twice, and had sent him many emails with even more questions! There were days I would call him with the same questions due to anxiety and Mr. Yancey would calm me down and explain the situation again for me. Mr. Yancey always keeps me in the loop, and his letter writing skills to my employer are very direct, strong and professional. I am at complete ease with my current case right now...I am confident that I have the PERFECT lawyer and he's worth every single penny!! He'll email you back within 24 hours, and will usually answer the phone when you call him - unless of course he's in litigation, trial or lunch. I tell him every time we speak that I'm so lucky that I found him and the Melville Johnson Law Firm! I KNOW I'm in good hands! It's not cheap to hire a lawyer, however, I STONGLY recommend you pay hourly and don't do contingency with some other quack lawyer who will probably do a substandard job, and above all, DON'T represent yourself in an EEO case! Get a lawyer out from the gates! Don't wait until right before the hearing! You won't be disappointed with Shaun Yancey...and trust me, I AM a current client right now. He IS AMAZING!!!
