HOrrible

Horrible will show up late to court if he shows up at all. Will have secret meeting and discussions and information from the DA and purposely not disclose it to you until he gets you to sign plea deal. Doesn't work on cases, wont strategize, wont do legwork to get evidence or anything suppressed etc. ...He is truly a Chrysler 300 lawyer ,not Bentley. When I called him about my case he confuses it with other people and has even told me to go to the wrong city court before. Very unprepared and unprofessional. He will not fight hard for anybody unless you are a sassy clothing designer or fellow officer. He basically works with and not against the DA's. The apparent flashy clothes or cars are all a facade, there are def public defenders on his level who care more. Don't hire him unless you are a former/current police idc if it's free and somebody else pays. Unless you want somebody always late or never there, uninformed, not proactive at all, lazy, but entitled that wants high prices for minimum efforts/work. He had local public defense communicating working deals on his behalf for me who had relationship with the DA's.

he really looks like he's at Lenox Mall cruising

While locked up awaiting bail, I spoke to him on the phone asking him why he wasn't fighting for a bail hearing for a 1st time offender pulled over for a traffic violation, and he told me he did what he wanted, hung up on me and didn't speak to me again until court. He's as arrogant and stupid as he ...looks. He even gave some of the money back, like that's something fair. He should've never took the case or gave all the money back. I ended up as a 1st time offender with a maximum sentence.

Dissapointed

I Had an unfortunate conversation with Mr. Patterson that I will never forget. Mr. Patterson represented me in a criminal matter a few years ago that resulted in a sentence of probation. I then contacted Mr. Patterson 2 weeks ago to discuss the possibly of him filing a motion to terminate my probatio...n with the court and his response to my request was not only offensive but disappointing. Mr. Patterson stated that he would charge me $5000 to file the motion on my behalf. I then asked him why would he charge me such an astronomical fee just to simply file a standard motion on my behalf. Mr. Patterson stated to me that his fee for filing such a motion is usually $3500 however he was charging me $5000 because I was what he considered to be a "high maintenance" client. He stated that he considered me to be "high maintenance" because according to him "I think I know the law". I immediately pushed back and stated to Mr. Patterson that although I am not a lawyer I DO however understand the law as it pertains to MY SITUATION and that you DO NOT have to have a law degree to simply read the law, comprehend the law, and understand it. And he responded with ... "Well some attorney's would consider that to be high maintenance". smh. Mr. Patterson's comments were not only hurtful and offensive but they shed light on his character as an attorney. And that is an attorney that would prefer for his clients to be ignorant and uneducated to the law so that they will remain handicap and be solely dependent on him and his understanding of the law without educating themselves on the law as it pertains to their situation. I also found Mr. Patterson's comments hurtful and offensive because at a time where African American's are fighting for justice and fair play within our criminal justice system you would think that an African American attorney like Mr. Patterson would actually be encouraging other people of color to learn the law and to do their due diligence on their rights instead of trying to discourage them for doing so and then overpricing his services simply because he's bothered by your desire to learn the law yourself and then labeling you as "high maintenance". smh... Well i would like to remind Mr. Patterson that I NEVER wanted to learn the law... the law was FORCED upon me! It was the injustice that I suffered in the criminal justice system that made me learn the law and that made me want to fully understand my rights so that they would never be violated again. and there is NOTHING wrong with that! My dedication and my hunger to learn the law should have been applauded, encouraged and celebrated instead of being ridiculed, mocked, discouraged and made light of. I will however, say in closing that I take no joy or personal gratification in making this review on Mr. Patterson because i once viewed Mr. Patterson in a different light and had the upmost respect for him as an attorney. However, our interaction has changed my perception and I cannot in good faith recommend his service to anyone else moving forward. I will however like to encourage Mr. Patterson to change his way of thinking and to become a champion and an advocate for those clients who do know the law and understand their rights instead of being a barrier between them and justice as I believe that this type of encouragement is greatly needed at this time in our democracy and our communities. God Bless.

One thing that Mr. Green got right is that I certainly consider him "high maintenance". He was the most difficult client I have ever represented in my 28 years as a lawyer. This man believes that he is smarter than anyone that he comes in contact with. Mr. Green should be very happy that he had a lawyer like me to KEEP HIM OUT OF PRISON as he stated in his post that I got him probation. Mr. Green should understand that lawyers don't have to put up with the demands of someone who always says to the lawyer, "I am not a lawyer but I know what ought to be done". Mr, Green should never hire a lawyer in the future because he thinks he is a lawyer. When he called me a few weeks ago I told him I would never represent him again unless he paid more money because of my opinion of him, in that I called him "high maintenance" and that was the TOTAL TRUTH. He need to understand that when you go buy shoes, you can buy them from WALMART or you can buy them from THE LOUBOUTIN BOUTIQUE. I am not a WALMART lawyer I am LOUBOUTIN lawyer,.

The best in Atlanta.

Jackie Patterson represented me on a felony charge. He was very informative with how the process of having the charge either dismissed or reduced. With his experience and knowledge, we were able to have a more than fabulous outcome. I highly recommend Mr.Patterson. Not only was he sharp at court but ...he was very kind to me and my family. I will always be grateful to have found an attorney that cared the way Mr.Patterson did.
