Gretchen Holt Wagner

Gretchen focuses her law practice on representing individuals who have been injured in nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and personal care homes due to negligence, abuse and medical malpractice.  She also represents individuals who have been seriously injured by medical malpractice.  

Prior to co-founding Wagner Hughes, LLC, Gretchen was a partner at a well-respected mid-sized law firm in Atlanta where she defended physicians, medical practices and hospitals in cases alleging medical malpractice for over eleven years.   Her invaluable experience defending medical providers, hospitals, and working with large insurance companies allows her to represent injured clients with first-hand knowledge about how the other side evaluates and litigates complex cases involving personal injury.

Gretchen’s extensive background litigating medical cases is particularly invaluable to her representation of clients in medical negligence and nursing home abuse and neglect cases, where the medical issues and legal requirements can be complex.  This enables her to more effectively evaluate and litigate medical cases in pursuit of her client’s goals.

Gretchen graduated cum laude, with a B.B.A. in International Business, from the University of Georgia Terry College of Business in 1998.  She continued her education at the University of Georgia School of Law, where she earned a J.D. with honors in 2002.  She has been consecutively named by Georgia Super Lawyers as a “Rising Star” and named Georgia Super Lawyer, and was named to the Georgia Trend Legal Elite.  She has been an active member of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers, and has served on the Foundation Board of the Georgia Association for Women Lawyers for several years.
