Louis Jensen Tesser

I retained the services of Mr. Louis Tesser of the firm Kessler and Solomiany to represent me in divorce proceedings and the development of a parenting plan for my five year old daughter. I have a high regard for the professionalism of Mr. Tesser and his firm. My case was somewhat difficult as it inv...olved relocation with my daughter to another state. Mr. Tesser helped me to achieve 100% of my "must-have" conditions, including relocation, and exceeded my expectations in achieving additional financial benefits for myself and my daughter. Mr. Tesser utilized the resources of the Kessler and Solomiany organization to provide a highly thought out, professional approach to each of the situational issues. Subsequent to the final divorce decree and relocation my ex continued to file frivolous claims against me which were all successfully defended by Mr. Tesser and resulted in the recovery of some damages. The only area of performance that prevented me from rating Mr. Tesser's services a five was response time to phone calls. Divorce and family court issues are highly emotionally charged and it can be difficult to wait for a response.

I hired a different attorney at K&S. My case was assigned to Louis's paralegal. Having worked in law firms, that's very unusual. Louis showed up at a meeting and took over my case when a scheduling conflict occurred. It turned out that Louis was best friend's with my former husband's attorney. I... had been "slammed". They travel together, go out to dinner as couples. . .While that wouldn't have bothered me, it was evident that my former husband knew things he shouldn't have known. Louis barely spoke at my hearings. He is very knowledgable and competent, his intentions are questionable. During the deposition of my former husband, Louis left so many questions unanswered, the deposition wasn't useful in getting to the bottom of the serious issues. I was compared to a Mack truck by the other attorney because Louis wasn't talking. Per my Order, I should have been awarded attorney's fees. Louis waited a day before the Motion was due, to return my calls, saying he didn't think it was a good idea, even though my settlement agreement specifically stated that I was due attorney's fees if I had to sue my x for non payment. It was a $36k call on his part that left me holding the bag. He said that my divorce was very "contentious". Contentious implies there's an issue on both sides. When your x husband is a bully, who uses his influence, money and friends. . to further the abuse, it's domestic abuse and harassment. Only a man would see it as contentious. . . when in fact, I was standing up for my rights and protecting my children. Louis is a nice guy, who is easily influenced and isn't as strong of a man or an attorney as I would want handling my matters. . .which is why I didn't hire him in the first place. If you are in a domestic abuse situation, hire an attorney who is well versed in the ways in which male and female former spouses can use the court systems to further the abuse. Then you won't have to fight your own battles.

Mr. Tesser is an outstanding attorney. He represented me throughout my divorce, which lasted over four years. It was an extremely contentious case that was further complicated when my ex-husband filed for bankruptcy. Mr. Tesser was always realistic about the case and provided me with a variety of opt...ions on how to approach matters. We were in court, often, and Mr. Tesser was always meticulously prepared. I had confidence entering the court room that I had an extremely knowledgeable and articulate advocate representing me and protecting the interests of me and my children.
