I hired Starks for a car accident in 1998. I was hit from the back on I-85. I was in route to cardiac therapy as a result of open heart surgery in Nov 97. I have a congenital heart disorder ((Subaortic Stenosis. He accepted my case but never corresponded with me for months. I called several times inquiring on the status of my case. His staff finally called and ask me to come into for a conference with Starks. He talked almost 30 minutes how things are different and singing praise of his young niece who wanted to be a lawyer like him. He finally had me sign papers releasing him as my attorney. He said "don't get another attorney. I will still work your case". He promised to keep me abreast. I was very vulnerable due to my poor health. I feel I was taken advantage of because of my condition and race.
