Outstanding lawyer

I am happy to have a chance to review this attorney because his efforts on my behalf were outstanding. I was unjustly charged with crime and because of his past experience with the district attorneys office, he was right about everything when he told me how this case would most likely go. His insti...ncts were right on and throughtout the entire case he was confident, and reassuring without making any promises. He was available when I needed to reach him or else returned all calls in a timely manner. The charges against me were eventually dropped, and I have no doubt that Mr. King's efforts in the courtroom are the reason why.

Great personality, but novice.

I hired Mr. King for one of the most important court trials of my life and while I do understand that even the best attorneys do not always win cases, I feel that our team lost because of my attorney's lack of experience. He was professional; however, he did not make objections when he should have, ...he almost caused us to miss out on the opportunity to have access to the trial transcripts, and he apparently does not know yet what is admissible as evidence in court. I am considerate of our lack of adequate time for preparation for my case; however, I know that a more experienced attorney would have had a more pragmatic approach and exhibited the highest quality representation no matter what. In the future, I will more appropriately assess my attorneys by requiring to see their undergraduate and law school transcripts. The best lawyers understand logic, problem-solving, critical thinking, and how to quickly readjust if their methodology is proving to be ineffective. I don't know Mr. King's class ranking or performance in those courses, but I experienced a lack of high quality in those areas when he represented me in court. He did not display a hard work ethic and the drive that I needed for my attorney to have in and out of court in terms of preparation, research, and arguing on court. He is not familiar with judges in my county. He may be more familiar with those in the county in which he was employed the longest. That also hurt us in court. He did make the necessary adjustments when he clearly saw the judge getting agitated with his obvious lack of experience. My attorney did not follow through on specific tasks that he promised to complete and there was no follow up with me. I had to call him if I needed to inquire about the progress or lack thereof on my case. He always seemed as if he was searching for the file and viewing it for the first time. It was as if he only thought about my case if I called him to ask about it. He is a good and honest person and I could tell that he has good morals, so his character is excellent. He would most likely make a good friend, but I cannot say the same in regards to my confidence in him as an attorney for criminal cases and basic civil cases. I've never witnessed him litigate auto accident cases in court, but based on my experience as one of his former clients, I do not trust in his ability to defend me in court or provide me with the highest quality legal representation. I wish him the best and much success. I decided to terminate my agreement with him and I opted for an attorney who has far greater experienced, a top law school graduate who ranked high in her graduating class, has experience in courtrooms in more than eight different counties in Georgia, and who has the integrity that I need at this time. Mr. King would greatly benefit from a mentoring relationship with a more experienced attorney so that he can quickly and efficiently develop solid plans of action before going to court with his clients and the ability to regroup after a trial and derive a new plan if necessary.
