I did not intend to be a criminal defense lawyer, and it seems my classmates knew I was destined for this job even before I did.
The start of law school for me also marked the start a devastating economic downturn. While I originally wanted to focus on law in the technology sector, the only job I could find after my first year of law school was in the Griffin Circuit Public Defender's Office (where I would ultimately be employed upon passing the Bar). Within a few weeks of starting that internship I managed to get a client's case dismissed, and from then on I was hooked. I returned to law school and changed all my classes to focus on criminal defense, and began taking as many internship opportunities as I could get (including working at the Federal Defender's Office and the Narcotics Division of the Bibb County Public Defender's Office). Even in classes that applied to both civil and criminal I signed up for professors with backgrounds in criminal practice.
I have dedicated my practice to helping stand with people accused of crimes. I am, perhaps even to a fault, heavily invested in my clients and their needs. I lose sleep worrying about cases, and many of my personal "vacations" are criminal defense seminars. Criminal defense is my life, and my love, and I consider it an honor to be chosen by people to protect them when the Sovereign comes to take their freedom.

Won the case, no plea deal.
I first met with Mr. Younker a few weeks after my arrest for DUI. I was nervous of course because I knew I wasn't intoxicated but that's not enough for court. After reviewing my case it was a no brainer we were turning down plea deals and fighting this thing. He walked me through every step of the w...

Top notch lawyer
Adam was very helpful with my case. He always gave me the information I needed and explained the issues I didn't understand. "Adam is a very well known and respected criminal defense lawyer in the community. Adam is a true believer in criminal defense and has achieved excellent results for clients charged with some of the most serious crimes in Georgia. He has earned his reputation as an outstanding trial attorney and for tenaciously fighting for his clients. I would recommend Adam to anyone facing criminal charges without reservation."
"FEARLESS! That is the best word to describe Adam. Adam and I have known each other for sometime now, but I had the privilege of attending a 2-week seminar with Adam last summer. I was impressed all over again at how fearless and innovative he is. If you are looking for an attorney who is not afraid of a fight, Adam is your man."
