I cannot say enough great things about Family Matters Law Group! First off I was so grateful to be surrounded with all the girl power from my initial intake to the ending of my case by way of Arian, Amber, Jocelyn, and Paula. They listened to me, encouraged me, and lifted me during this grueling proc...ess. Secondly, the black girl magic that exudes from attorney Edidiong Aaron is unmatched! She knows the laws inside and out, she let me know from the very beginning that she’d be prepared to fight for me both in and out of court room (and hands down she was), and she never made any unrealistic promises about the outcomes of my case but instead came up with creative strategies based on her knowledge of the law and her understanding of how the judge thinks that would have the greatest potential for my case being ruled in my favor. And lastly, the entire staff ensured that I was well prepared at every step; from providing documents, appearing for a deposition, and being on stand for my final hearing. When I decided to pursue filing for divorce from my ex-husband over 2 years ago, I had no clue where to begin. After, a quick google search I came across Family Matters and read through the reviews which were all pretty positive. After my initial consult with attorney Aaron, I left with the clear understanding that family law cases can get complicated really quickly and for that reason it was going to cost me more than $2500 to finalize. And my case was definitely complicated as my ex was threatening to take custody of our child, bar me from alimony, and sell off all our assets to include our marital home where I was living with our child. The value of your child and all that you’ve worked for require an attorney that posses invaluable skills…by the time my case concluded I happily spent upwards of $35,000. I know you’re spitting your drink out right now and wanting to click away from this search page BUT hear me when I say that the money I spent was drop in the bucket when compared to having primary custody of my daughter (which my ex-husband fought me for till the very end), I received our home PLUS ALL THE EQUITY WITHIN, my retirement, and alimony. And no I’m not a stay at home mother either. And even after being awarded all of this in the end, what I also got back was my voice which is PRICELESS! So again, I can’t thank this law group enough for what they were able to do for me.

Where do I start? There are so many things that I can say about my experience with the Family Matters Law Group. I’ll try to keep it brief but lay out my experience from beginning to end. Confidentiality The level of confidentiality that I received while working with Attorney Aaron’s law firm i...s TOP NOTCH. She has her appointments and office flow set up in such a way that protects your integrity in the case that clients happen to know of each other. I have never seen any of her clients, and it took two years for my case to conclude. Compassion. As a single parent, I was slightly intimidated by the fact that my child’s father (who had been completely absent at the time for 7 years) made 3 times my salary and had me served with paper requesting my daughter's name change, custody, child support, and a travel stipend (to name a few from the ridiculous list). I was and had never been the parent to keep my child from her father. However, it was his choice not to be a part of her life, so being served with paperwork that made such outlandish requests was a total shock to me. I explained to Attorney Aaron that I was 100% in favor of them building a relationship but wanted to make sure that my child was protected as hit with minimal emotional distress from the abrupt nature of the situation. We sat down TOGETHER and drafted a parenting plan. She listened and made sure that she addressed my concerns within the plan. Graduated visitation was my preference, and that is what she fought for my daughter to have. She works for YOU. The lady doesn’t play. She gave me deadlines to meet so that her office sent everything to the courts promptly. My case dragged on for two years because the father did not adhere to his counsel’s requirements and ignored requests from Attorney Aaron and the courts. The estranged father and I should have been resolved in mediation, but I promise you it felt like the father just wanted me to keep paying more money. It didn’t matter because Attorney Aaron was worth EVERY. PENNY. The same parenting plan Attorney Aaron presented to my daughter's father during the first 6 months of the case is the same plan that the father ultimately accepted. I could not have navigated this without the help of the Family Matters Law Group. I found Attorney Aaron from a google search of family law attorneys in Clayton County. I read every single review that was provided and felt comfortable with pulling the trigger. I couldn’t have made a better choice. Period. She is the Simone Biles of Family Law. I don’t anticipate needing her again, but I definitely would recommend her to anyone that needs representation.

In April, 2020 I was summons by my daughter’s father with a Petition for Legitimation. In my desperate need to fight for my daughter, I was referred to attorney Aaron by a very good friend. When I initially met Ms. Aaron, I was angry, frustrated but most of all terrified. Terrified because althoug...h I knew the father has the right to legitimate his child, in my case he wasn’t deserving of that. From my initial meeting with Ms. Aaron (and her staff) they gave me the confidence that I was in great hands and would fight and advocate for my rights. Ms. Aaron was honest and realistic in letting me know that while she would do everything in her power to fight for my case, she was honest enough to say that the case could go either way. Throughout my entire case, Ms. Aaron and her staff were very communicative and what the next steps were. Every letter, filing and/or communication that would go out was communicated to me before hand and my opinion even mattered. While I gave them their space to work on my case, they were literally a phone call away for every question, comments and concerns I had. They even allowed me to vent! In the midst of my case, my daughter’s father and attorney withdrew from the case, yet I still had a fight within in and that was to regain my attorneys fees and all the unnecessary expenses I had incurred in this case by no fault of my own. On the morning of my final hearing, unknowing of what the outcome of my case would be, I thanked Ms. Aaron for her services. One would think one would wait to hear the end results before giving thanks but I had to thank her AND her team before hand because from the moment I met with her and her team, I knew they were worth it. The way Ms. Aaron fought my case and the way her team worked on every detail of my case made me feel as if I was their only client. Their means of communicating every detail with me and answering my phone calls and emails was truly an exceptional service. They truly made me feel important but most of all treated me as family not just a client. As for the outcome of my case, the victory was ours and I have God and the Family Matters Law Group to thank.

Families matter!!! The name of this law firm alone speaks volume and stands for what they believe in. It’s not common within the world we live in today that you actually meet a group of genuine people who love what they do and constantly trying to make positive changes in families in their time of ne...ed. Moving into the New Year of 2019, my world fell apart. My daughter, who at the time I was a non-custodial parent of but shared joint legal custody with the mother. My daughter was taken away from me, out of state, and across the country without prior acknowledgement, and/or agreement. While trying to mentally process everything that was going on I began randomly searching for attorneys online and came across this law firm. Feeling lost, infuriated, and not knowing if I would ever see my daughter again was eating me alive. When I called Family Matters law firm, I was greeted with radiating understanding and heart felt comforting words. At the time I thought NO SOUL could EVER say ANYTHING to me that would give me hope that I would ever see my daughter again. Just when I was about to give up hope, I decided to come into the office for a consultation and that’s when I met attorney Edidiong Aaron. In my moment of need, which felt like a world of chaos, attorney Aaron asked me could she give me a hug, at the time I was in a very hurt place and replied no (which I had no clue that at the moment, that was the hug that was going to change my life forever.) With respect Attorney Aaron advised that she was going to provide me with a hug anyway and at that moment I knew she was as genuine as they come. Attorney Aaron was very helpful, enlightening upon questions of law knowledge, gave encouraging words, reassuring she would make it her ultimate business that I get back to my daughter and that this would never be able to happen to me again. Throughout my case, if I ever had any questions about anything I was able to call the office or use their portal site and receive direct answers. If there was anytime that I wasn’t able to reach anyone, as soon as time permitted, my unanswered phone calls were returned or replied to in the portal site. I could go on and on about how amazing this woman truly is, but Long story short, attorney Aaron was very professional at all times, was industrious, and takes pride in her work while preparing and prepping for my case. During the process of the case I would get a little discouraged/antsy about everything but sure enough always came those encouraging/reassuring words attorney Aaron would give. Family Matters Law firm is a very structured and well organized facility. Attorney Aaron and her staff works diligently with you to provide the help you need. Of course no one likes speaking of finances, and im not here to sell anything but I assure you, YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY FOR, and attorney Aaron is reasonable and WORTH IT!!!! Last but not least when it was time for my hearing attorney Aaron came ready for business! Being a willingly father in America while trying to provide for your child(ren) is almost unheard of these days. This makes it even harder for the fathers out here actually trying to take care of their responsibilities. Throughout my case was an overbearing mental struggle but Attorney Aaron kept me mentally grounded with reassurance every time. I was hit from behind at a red light in the fall of 2017. A few weeks prior to the accident Atty E had done an outstanding job resolving a child custody case for my husband and I, so selecting her to represent me again was a no-brainer. Throughout the entire ordeal she called to keep me abreast of ...updates - which I believe anyone would appreciate.
