Failure to Follow Ethical and Contractual Standards in Family Evaluation

Reposting as my original review was removed. Ms. Alexander has a pattern of removing critical feedback and encouraging favorable reviews. My concerns are based on direct experience during her two-year court-appointed role. Ms. Alexander never visited my home, observed interactions with my children..., or responded consistently to communication. She did not speak to me for approximately seven months before the court date and has not contacted me since—now about sixteen months. Her contract stated she would not question children directly if she had significant concerns due to lack of forensic training, yet billing records show repeated interviews with my child. It also required reporting concerns to DFACS, but no reports were made, even after prior DFACS involvement regarding the opposing party (OP). She ordered a parental fitness evaluation but disregarded the results. Her report acknowledged OP’s diagnoses (narcissistic personality, paranoia, compulsion, and addiction) yet excused them because he was “very bright.” At the same time, she claimed he lacked technical skills despite his credentials as a PhD, CFA, and data analyst. Her report omitted school visits and professional feedback that reflected positively on my parenting. According to her invoices, her assistant completed nearly half the interviews. Two witnesses cited in her report had prior criminal histories, which were not disclosed. Two treating professionals corroborated the children’s statements, but their input was excluded. Treating professionals testified that Ms. Alexander told them early in the process she had “already decided” in favor of OP, despite continuing the case for over a year and billing roughly $21,000 for my share. She frequently communicated only with OP and his attorney, as even the judge noted in court. When I expressed financial concern as a graduate student, she allowed costs to escalate. She threatened contempt for my portion of fees but extended leniency to OP, deferring contempt and later creating a payment plan. She continued billing after the case concluded. A licensed psychologist testified that Ms. Alexander diagnosed me with multiple issues despite holding only a bachelor’s degree in literature. The psychologist she recommended for the parental fitness evaluation found no evidence supporting her claims, and she never spoke with my treating therapist. She ignored hospital and witness reports documenting physical incidents involving OP and the children and instead framed the situation as “parental alienation.” My primary concern remains the well-being of my children. Ms. Alexander’s recommendations contributed to the separation of siblings across state lines and the loss of parent-child contact. Since July 2023, my daughter has been withheld from visitation, and my son has been cut off since June 2024. I have seen my son only 24 days since July 2022. Professionals in family court should prioritize children’s safety and adhere to ethical and contractual standards. My experience reflects a failure in both respects.

Incompetent

Deceitful. Seemingly nice at the beginning. Documents poorly and she does not care. This attorney creates fees and charges for her incompetence. Extremely unjust and only cares about herself. VERY NARCISSISTIC.
