Janice Alfred was the 3rd attorney I hired whilst being in hot pursuit of my son from 2011-2014. The year I hired her was July-Aug 2014. At the time I was stationed in Fort Knox, KY and my son's mother had kidnapped him and fled to Atlanta, GA despite KY court orders ordering her to turn over our son... to me (I became primary custodial parent due to her repeated failure to allow visitation) since May 2013. Desperate for an attorney, I did some online research on Atlanta, GA attorneys and I decided to go with Janice Alfred. To make a very long story short, Mrs Alfred was very professional and to the point about everything. She remained in constant contact and asked me questions to ensure there was no misunderstanding when presenting my case. Attorney Alfred is extremely competent, did not allow herself to be outspoken during court hearings (which I found very impressive) and was completely thorough in composing my years long counter argument. On our last court date, she did everything in her power to ensure that I left with my son and didn't pull any punches until the "bell rang" Now, it is Oct 2016 and I have had my son for 2 years - I am enjoying every moment! I hired this attorney for my divorce. This attorney is horrible. She's not knowledgeable about laws pertaining to Divorce, and should not have taken my case. I paid this attorney her upfront fee of $2,000 and did not receive the services as promised. This attorney also went as far as to quit my case,... leaving me with no legal services or money to obtain legal services. I ended up signing my half of retirement benefit, equity in the house (which resulted in myself and children having to move into an apartment with children), spousal, resulted in additional monies to be paid out. This caused a bigger financial burden than I already had. This attorney decided to sue me and I am on total and permanent disability, I can not afford to pay her additional money for services that were not rendered cause me file bankruptcy relief. This will cause my credit score to go down drastically.

Janice was extremely prepared, providing multiple court briefs for what if scenarios. She was honest and dedicated to getting me what I wanted in my child's custody case. She was a godsend after a year and half of frustration. She provided me with in depth strategies and what I would need to be pr...epared for; the best investment I ever made. I highly recommend Janice for all family law cases. She was undaunted in providing excellent service even on weekends or late nights making sure that no stone was left unturn.
