I hired Mr Florio back in Decemeber 2022 after my son acquired 3 charges from Clayton County Police Department. My son and 2 classmates made the poor decision to go steal from a local gas station. When the clerk tried to stop they boy he was with, he pushes the clerk was pushed to the floor, the boy...s fled but was later caught by the police down the road. I was told from the officers even tho my son was not the one caught stealing or pushed the lady he would still be charges as a conspirator and face the same charges . As a parent i was crushed but i had to fight for my son. I know this system can railroad black boys and i was not going to allow my son to have a felony at 14 for stealing snacks. I began to call around looking for a lawyer after talking to several money hungry lawyers that seemed really not to care we chose Mr Florio. He gave us a price of $7,500 which was not terrible and a retainer of $3000. I was transparent with him that we barely have it but would do our best to get it. He was so patient with us and gave us a payment plan that we hardly kept. He could have terminated the contract but worked with us and for that we are grateful. Court day finally came around after continuously getting pushed back several times. July, 2023 we finally kept the promised date in court. The DA, offered my son to drop the Shoplifting and Assault but keep the Felony Robbery, the same charge his classmate received a month prior. Punishment would only be 18 months probation but i felt so strongly that this case was weak and could be dropped. Mr. Florio told me he would stick by decision to take it to court if needed. This was extremely nerve wrecking because i felt as if i was playing russian roulette with my sons life. After having a talk with Mr Florio about how much i believed he could fight for my son and we would win, he brought all the guns to trial. He did and absolutely amazing job proving GREAT DOUBT in the states case. All charges were dropped and now my son has a clean slate and a second chance at his future.
