John C. Forbes Jr.

I hired John Forbes in July. He had to drive two hours to pick up a check for 5,000. We spoke about the case and he promised me that he would get in contact with my loved one and discuss the case further. No deal. He cashed that check the same day and it has hasn't touched the case. Time is running ...out and this guy lied to me and said it will take months to get a transcipt from the Fulton County Courts. I was told by a clerk that the Attorney could pick up the transcipt the same day. He has not so much as spoken with my loved one nor visit them. He is short when I called, and I feel brushed off. I am upset that he took advantage of me knowing full well that my loved one will need to fire him and it will take time to regain another another. Plus, we are out of $5,000. Please do not hire this louse.

I hired Mr. Forbes to represent me in a "family law" matter and I'm very pleased with the progress in this tiring case. Mr. Forbes has gone above and beyond to represent me effectively and has had my best interest in mind the entire time. He is very effective, very knowledgeable and keeps me i...nformed on all matters concerning the case. To be honest he has gone above and beyond to see that my case was handled timely, properly and with care taking into consideration it effects my children.

I hired Mr. Forbes with trust that he would actually help me in some way, in fact he was very destructive to my life. I was charged with disorderly conduct in six months ago and hired him to represent me. He advised me to plead not guilty and deny the plead negotiation the prosecuting attorney offer...ed me. Due to the nature of the case I was not allowed to return to my home until the case was completed or unless I accepted the plead negotiation. In June the offer was to accept 1 year of probation, 80 hours of community service, and the ability to return to my home immediately. I literally paid $1000.00 to postpone the case six months (denying me going home), only to go to court to be educated on the fact that because of my previous infractions with the law I was ineligible for the plead he was "trying" to accomplish for me. So I had to accept the plead wasting six months. I could have been home six months ago, been halfway through my probation sentence, completely done with my community service by now. He took $1000.00 from me to do this. What a crook. He should have known that I was ineligible for that plead, but instead we went all the way to the court date for the prosecutor to say I wasn't. What an awful person. Do not use this attorney unless you want to be shammed.

paid Mr. Forbes a very large retainer. Was very responsive until he recieved my money after that the only way to reach him was by text or email. Will NOT call you back EVER. Do NOT trust him. He said he was negotiating with other atty and come to find out he NEVER had spoken to him. Will not res...pond to telephone calls. Never informed me of any changes with my case. DO NOT USE HIM

We spent $2000.00 for very little satisfaction. Mr Forbes filed 1 motion and tried to get it served 2 times. We never made contact with the defendant. We called and texted him dozens of times and he has not responded even to this day. Response and follow up was terrible. Making commitments and not fo...llowing through. He was not available when we needed him and caused us much anxiety and angst. We never got closure even to this date or even a call about any updates unless we initiated it. It was a very bad experience and I wonder how his practice survives? Maybe our experience was one of a kind, but it was not good. We ourselves did more to bring this to closure in 1 trip than he did in an entire year. In the end we did everything ourselves. So I guess we are just out $2k. We really trusted him and respected him initially. That is now lost. I just wanted to take the time to give my feedback. A refund of SOME of our money would be greatly appreciated as we are not wealthy people.
