Unresponsive & Unprofessional

I hired this lawyer through off the record and immediately had a bad feeling when her Google review was less than 3.5 stars. She has not been responsive and has not listened to my request. Now I know why she is so defensive in her reviews, because they are being honest, and honestly, she sucks.

In this court, the solicitor does not review the citation until the court date. I explained to you there would be no updates until the first court date. At that time, you were told of the new date once it was reset. As for the offer, I think you are mistaken that it was just an offer. There was no agreement to a guilty plea. I attended court and spoke to the solicitor who is not willing to just dismiss the case but is willing to accept a guilty plea to a lesser, non-reporting charge if you want the driving class. I also discussed with you that if you want to take the case to a trial we can. However, you never got back with me about if you want to continue to a trial. As for the civil suit, you told me that a civil suit was filed and sent me an attorney's contact info and asked if that could be used for a dismissal. I asked you for clarification if that was your attorney or the attorney for the other party and, in relation to that, are you suing or are you being sued. You never replied to me. In sum, I got you an offer you could have taken advantage of that reduced this moving violation to a non-moving, non-reporting violation. If you didn't want to accept that offer, we could have had a trial and tried for a not guilty plea. I am not sure what else you wanted me to do for you in this case.

Communication is terrible

After being told to pay my fines by a certain date I asked how to pay them twice and got no response and when I did pay my fines I was told I should not have payed them.

In your case, the offer requires you to complete defensive driving. You did not get it completed in time so we got the case extended to April for you. In my instructions to you, I stated “ DO NOT PAY until I let you know it has been reduced and made payable in the system. ” The citation could not be reduced without the proof of community service. Therefore, it wasn’t ready to be paid online. By making the payment online, you entered a guilty to the original speed. Without any proof of any hours completed, I could not do anything for you to help prevent this from going on your record after payment. Had you had the hours done, we could have asked the court to do a court correction on the speed. Also, when paying online, the system does tell you that you are entering a guilty to the charges so we do not have a legal argument for a motion to withdraw the plea.

Horrible Experience

TERRIBLE COMMUNICATION!! Do NOT use her to represent you. Never talked her not once the few times she did respond, it was between 2-3am in the morning. Very inconsiderate and unprofessional to let me know that I had to take a Defensive Driving class 5 days before my court date, when she could’ve adv...ised this information weeks ago. Luckily I was able to book a class on a Sunday at the last minute. Everyone Cannot tell the same LIE about how horrible their experience was with her.

Hi Marcus, I apologize you were not happy with my services. I believe we were able to get great results in your case. We were able to resolve your 20 mph over the limit speeding ticket with a plea to basic rules which is nonreporting and 0 points on your license in a very tough jurisdiction where reductions in speeding tickets are not common. As for the late notice, I conveyed your offer as soon as I got it from the judge. It was close to your deadline but this court does not give long extensions to complete conditions and the judge himself has to review the citation and your history before he will allow any offer of reduction. This deadline is just the deadline where you can get the conditions to me to give to him and he can approve them to make it payable. If you don’t meet this deadline, we can attend the next court date and request it. I explained this in my offer message to you. This deadline was not a deadline where the offer would not be allowed if you didn’t complete it, but we’d have to attend court and ask the judge for more time. He allows you to not have to attend one court date, but any further, he makes the defendant attend as well. So, in addition to arranging for you to not have to attend court at all and getting the case down to completely nonreporting. I was able to get the court to allow you to complete a class via zoom instead of in person. The offer was conveyed the same day I got the offer from the judge on 10/5. The next court date was 10/19. You had 7 days to complete the class if you didn’t want to have to attend court and wanted me to get the judge to pre approve the plea and reduce it so you could pay online and never have to come to court. If you couldn’t get the class done in time, you had 16 days to complete it but you would have to had attend court to show the judge in person and pay in person. If you couldn’t complete it in 16 days, we could request a continuance but you had to attend in person as well on the next court date to request that continuance. You messaged me on 10/5 at 8 am and texted me on 10/5 at 9 am. You received a response via text from me on 10/5 at 10:50 am. You had a concern about being able to complete the class but when I explained again that the class could be completed via zoom, you told me you could complete that without issues then. There were no follow ups with any concerns about completing the class or needing an extension. I thought you were fine once you realized it could be completed online. The next communication was you inquiring how to get me the certificate. You texted me in the morning and I replied that same day. You did not let me know you had made the payment on your case until 5 hours after your payment deadline and at 9 pm the night before your court date. I was able to let the judge’s office know you had paid to make sure he knew you didn’t have to come to court the next day. I reply and message my clients at night due to the fact that I’m in court all day representing my clients so I must work evenings, weekends, and late nights to promptly get back to clients instead of waiting until the next day when I may have a break between courts. I would rather communicate and send you messages and emails as soon as possible even if that is late night instead of letting communication be delayed in getting to the client. Again, I was never made aware that you had an issue receiving messages via an email late night instead of during the day. Other than the one family matter where you were not sure if you could get the class done in time, you never addressed any of these concerns to me until I see this review. Again, I apologize that you were not satisfied. Had you brought these issues to my attention, I could have taken other actions to try to help accommodate your desires or explain more to you about why there was such a short time window.

An Attorney that never have time to return your phone calls

If you want an attorney who is NOT going to reply to your emails, an attorney who is NOT going to call you back or return your phone calls, If you want an attorney who is NOT even going to call you to let you know the progress of your case, an attorney who will always give you excuses for not to resp...ond to you at all. then this is your attorney

I apologize you feel as if you did not get the response you needed in your case with my office. When your case was due to be paid to the court, I messaged you via the client messaging several times with no response from you. I contacted the court to get you more time to make the payment. After several weeks, you did finally respond letting me know you didn't make the payment. I searched my emails and no emails were sent to me from you. You did call me a few days ago with a message to give you a call back. In my voicemail, I make it clear that if you need me immediately, the best way to reach me is via text message and I leave my number for texting. You texted me and got an immediate response. Once you made it clear you were unhappy with me taking care of your problem via text, I explained to you I was in court all day yesterday and I can text during court but I cannot make phone calls. You continued to voice your displeasure of no phone call instead of explaining your issue and letting me try to help you. I got the judge to excuse me from court and stepped out to call you only to have another person answer your phone and tell me you were unavailable and was told to tell me you would call me back in 10 minutes. I explained to the friend to have you text me when you are available. I got no message for 15 minutes so I called back to reach your voicemail. I left a voicemail for you only to be sent another text from you complaining that I didn't try to call you and you left this review. Again, I apologize you feel as if you needed me to do more for you. In your case I got you a great result in your case, I tried to stay on you to pay the negotiated fine for the case, I contacted the court to make sure you didn't get a bench warrant or failure to appear due to your lack of action, and I responded immediately to your text message and called you not once but twice yesterday to have you not respond to my phone calls.
