Jeanne Marie O'Halleran

Jeanne O’Halleran is the owner of The Law Office of Jeanne O’Halleran, LLC, in Dallas, Georgia.  Her firm is a general practice law office, handling a wide variety of cases.  Practice areas include:

·         Business Law - Incorporation, contracts, employment agreements, leases

·         Family Law - divorce, adoption, power of attorney, contempt, pre-nuptial

·         Elder Law – guardianships, conservatorships, advanced medical directives, elder abuse

Jeanne received a Bachelor of Arts degree at Berry College in 1998, with a major in Psychology.  She then attended the University of Georgia School of Law, where she received her Juris Doctorate degree in 2001. Jeanne passed the bar exam and was admitted to the State Bar of Georgia in 2001.
  
Throughout her career, Jeanne has been focused on how she can best help people with her knowledge of the law.  From 2005 – 2010, she served as an Assistant District Attorney for the Paulding Judicial Circuit.  During that time, she prosecuted a wide variety of cases, ranging from Driving Under the Influence, to Burglary and Aggravated Assault.  As a prosecutor, Jeanne has handled all aspects of criminal cases, from bond and preliminary hearings, through plea negotiations and bench and jury trials.  She has also successfully argued before the Georgia Court of Appeals.
 
Jeanne has received extensive State training in the areas of Crash Reconstruction and Driving Under the Influence, which she uses extensively to litigate personal injury cases.

Jeanne is a strong litigator, having participated in a large number of both bench and jury trials during her career.  She has an excellent record, particularly in the area of DUI and other traffic-related cases.  Aside from trials, Jeanne has over a thousand hours of court time, doing a variety of pre-trial matters, including preliminary hearings, bond hearings, motions to suppress, and criminal pleas.

Prior to 2005, Jeanne worked on civil matters, including small business formation and incorporation, tax preparation, wills, trusts, and personal injury, as well as a variety of other civil matters.
