Biography
I practice law in the Cherokee Judicial Circuit and have done so since 1990. I worked as an associate with two different firms and worked as a sole practitioner for many years, always including indigent defense in my practice. In 2005 the State of Georgia created the Georgia Public Defender Standards Counsel. This state agency employs full time public defenders. I have been employed by the Public Defenders' Office for the Cherokee Judicial Circuit, as the Chief Assistant Public Defender, since the office opened on January 1, 2005. I have tried more than a hundred criminal cases and am qualified to handle death penalty cases.

kelly dial was my son's lawyer and a very good one.
