Laurene Cristine Cuvillier

Laurene Cuvillier is an attorney who is a partner in the Tucker, Georgia, law firm of Goldberg & Cuvillier, P. C.  The firm’s practice includes representation of individuals and businesses in cases involving denial of civil rights including police misconduct, disability rights, licensing denial and revocation, and first amendment rights; personal bankruptcy; general civil litigation;  personal injury; consumer law including mortgage violations; estate litigation and estate management; education law including special education law; and business law.

Ms. Cuvillier holds the following degrees:  B.A., M.B.A. (Master’s in Business Administration) and J. D. (Juris Doctor).  She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, and a member of all Georgia appellate courts. She is also a member of the United States District Court, Northern District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. 

As a former small business owner, Ms. Cuvillier has practical business experience in a broad range of areas. When combined with her M.B.A. and legal education, her knowledge and skills are an asset to any small business owner. 

Ms. Cuvillier also has practical experience in the area of education law, as she is a parent of students with disabilities.  

Her primary area of focus within education law includes representation of all students with disabilities who seek accommodations from schools, colleges and universities, and standardized testing agencies. In public elementary, middle, and high schools, she represents students with disabilities in IEP and Section 504 meetings and appeals. She also represents students with disabilities who attend private schools when they need accommodations for their disabilities.  For college and university students, Ms. Cuvillier represents undergraduate, graduate, and professional school students with disabilities who seek accommodations for their disabilities.  

At all school and college levels, Ms. Cuvillier represents all types of students, disabled and non-disabled, in school disciplinary hearings.  She also does appeals of school disciplinary hearings. She is often a speaker on the subject of school disciplinary hearings and accommodations in schools for students with disabilities. 

Ms. Cuvillier represents students of all ages and at all school levels who need accommodations on standardized tests, such as the SAT, GRE, LSAT, MCAT, NBME, and other similar important tests. 

Other areas of specific interest in which Ms. Cuvillier practices are estate litigation and estate management, general civil litigation excluding family law, personal injury, civil rights litigation, and business law.
