This lawyer was disciplined by a state licensing authority.
This means the attorney did something wrong, but the Bar did not suspend the lawyer. Typically in this case the lawyer's poor behavior is exposed to the pubic in hopes that he or she will not repeat the behavior.

I hired Tom Ford to represent my son who was in jail for a probation violation with new charges. I hired him to coordinate with the probation office so we could get him enrolled in a program and he could be released. Tom lied to us for over 5 months telling us that the probation office was not cooperating and would not approve him for the program. This went on so long that the application for the program was denied and we had to reapply. I ended up hiring another attorney to call the probation and talk to them because Tom quit responding to me. The attorney I hired told me that they had never spoken to him and my son was then approved. My son sat in jail unnecessarily for 9 months. That time counted towards nothing. I had to threaten to press charges on him (which I had the legal right to do) to get a refund for the money I paid him. This man does not act normal. He will never meet you in an office. He will meet you at some obscure location and there will be no paperwork signed. His receipt will be his business card. Then he will run off with your money and forget you as well as your case. It is my firm belief that he has some sort of substance abuse problem. I am posting this review so that anyone even considering hiring this man will save themselves the anguish that my family and I had to go through.

I WOULD VERY HIGHLY RECOMMEND NOT CONSULTING THIS LAWYER. DO YOUR DUE DILIGENCE AND RESEARCH. I had a simple drinking ticket. Solicitor offered me a deal I did not think was fair. I sought outside counsel, settled on Tom because he assured me he could get this mattered resolved with no punishment, or maybe a small fine. I paid him about 2.5 times what others quoted me. Did not hear from him for months. Get a call, he said he got me a deal that was acceptable to me. Said he would send the paperwork. No paperwork came. Months later, another offer. $500 more than the previous. I asked to see the paperwork. He did not respond. Months passed again. He told me that now all I needed to do was get an evaluation saying I didn't have a problem. I told him I would be on vacation and couldn't get it done in 2 weeks. I now have a failure to appear that I found out about in the mail. Contacted Tom. He was very rude and disrespectful, saying a 5th graded understood more than I did. Not only did he get me a failure to appear, but come to find he could not even get me a better deal than I could've gotten myself. I had no choice but to fire him and seek other counsel.

I first hired Tom when I was a senior in college and was cited for a DUI downtown (on my birthday!). He got reduced to reckless, and at a fee a College student could afford. Some years later a series of bad decisions had me caught up in a much more serious drug case. Tom was able to get my car - seized by the city - back for me, and ultimately the case was dismissed. Couldn't have asked for a better outcome and I never had the feeling he was judging me, which I did get with other attorneys.
