Steven Allan Cook

Few years ago we hired Mr. Cook. He successfully helped our daughter to be accepted to Cobb County Drug Court Program. He was very attentive and kept us well informed during the entire process and even called us about court delay. Again we needed help of an attorney for a family matter. Mr. Cook ...was our first choice. He is a great listener, very generous with his time and returns phone calls after office hours. He obviously cares about his clients and is a very nice guy.

I am not sure what may have happened to Steve, I have been told he is not the attorney he once was. I hired him to represent my daughter. I was happy with his price, even though I was told that I would need to hire another attorney in another county to deal with the VOP case. I paid him more than ...half of his fees. Steve went to see my daughter, we had two phone calls after that, his assessment of my daughter and her case was completely off from what he first told me and this was after he pulled her charges. A few days later, he went to visit my daughter again, he did not look (to my daughter) like the same man, knew nothing of her case and acted as if he never met her before. I asked for part of my money back after finding another attorney. He told me he did more than the $600 he was paid and would not be refunding any of the money. The new attorney has done all the work and is well worth the more than double Steve's fee. Do not be bamboozled into using him because you want to cut corners. A compliant with the GA BAR and everywhere else is forth coming as I want a refund on his non work.

Amazing! My family always used him so when I got my first dui at 20 all I kept hearing was to go to Steve cook! He had the lowest price and was able to cut everything in half, fines, jail time, license suspension, had I not blown he could have got it dropped completely. Recommended to me by a friend when I was in a pinch, Steve stepped into my case and did precisely what he agreed to do for a very reasonable retainer. Many people refuse to listen to their attorney, they will expect miracles while not listening to what they don't want to hear. Steve tells it like... it is even as he will try to do whatever he can for you. Sometimes your attorney will tell you what you don't want to hear. Still, you need to listen because that's why you hire them. Some attorneys will paint great pictures and deliver guano. Steve Cook was very realistic and was also very , very responsive to me and my supporters doing leg work to help the case.. He is a stand up guy and a good attorney especially considering the Cobb County shark tank of corrugation he swims in. I'm amazed that these other people want to talk about his personal life or issues. If they were perfect, they wouldn't have needed a criminal attorney, so people who write these reviews should stick to their own issues instead of trying to talk about other people.
