I hired Mrs. Griffiths to defend me in a Forsyth County case. Luckily, I realized that her extreme disorganization was likely costing me a competent defense and was able to switch attorneys. My new attorney accomplished overnight what Mrs. Griffiths assured me was impossible. Here are the specific ...events that lead me fire her as my representative. 1) She failed to recall specific advice she gave me on the few phone calls we've had. Specifically, whether or not I should start doing community service. She repeatedly told me no, then switch to yes and failed to recall ever telling me no. 2) She failed to recall or acknowledge the Anger Evaluation she requested from me in late March. I immediately did as she requested and gave her that information via email on April 2nd which she acknowledged. On May 15, she remained unaware of having that in her possession and asked for it again. Once I pointed out that she already had it she then asked me to update it which wouldn't have been required had she used it with the prosecutor after it was originally provided. 3) She failed to recall that I had had a conversation with the alleged victim that I shared with her immediately after it happened. 4) During a single conversation: she stated she was waiting for all evidence before talking to the prosecutor by specifically citing the body cam footage as the last remaining evidence to be supplied; she then informed me that it wouldn't be until 10 days prior to the trial that they would provide that; she then assured me that we wouldn't be waiting until 10 days prior before talking to the prosecutor. All this was a catch-22, that, once exposed by me, prompted her to actually schedule a meeting with the prosecutor; however, without recalling all of the above, she was largely unprepared to negotiate the specifics on my case. It was after this that I realized that I was in disorganized and distracted hands and changed representation.

I'm 29 years old and up until now I had never been in trouble with the law. I was terrified. I was charged with not 1 but 2 counts of DUI and was wrongly arrested.
